With the combination of ancient and modern technology industrial sector of Pakistan contain small, medium and large units.pakistan position is forty first in the world in factory output. Most of the industries are located in urban center near population with no treatment and pollution control services. The major cities where industries are located are Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Hyderabad, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Gujrat. There are over 2500 tanneries (registered& UN registered) and footwear manufacturing units running in Pakistan. Over the years, the number of registered tanneries has increased from 529 in 1999 to 600 in 2003 and to 725 at present in country. These are located in Karachi, Hyderabad, Lahore, Multan, Kasur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura and Peshawar. This number sustained to mount for due to increase in demand of finished products and raw material in the national and international market. Leather manufacturers & exporters are determining to increase export of quality finished leather and leather products. Leather is one of a dynamic contributor to the country’s GDP and foreign exchange earnings. More than 500,000 people are directly or indirectly related to leather industry in Pakistan. The fur industry was pivotal for the imperialist powers of the 1600’s. The gain of this luxurious industry ultimately meant wealth and power. This trade industry alters Canada immensely. The trading post known as York Factory and Moose Factory sought native people to travel vastly collecting furs and pelts. Ultimately this altered their conventual nomadic movements.
The Industrial Revolution was a point in the mid 1700’s where machine made goods were greatly increased in England. Women working in factories worked in outrageous working conditions, some even fatal. They had short breaks worked long hours and got little pay. The women that worked in the silk factories in Japan had all these cost, but they were just kind of worst. They not only had all this, but they also had unfair treatment.
During the Industrialization, factories began to appear near rivers in the middle of villages. Despite all of the output of goods, it created many problems in the villages. “…Industrial growth brought with it a host of environmental pollution problems” (Document 3). This occurred because the towers released smoke and chemicals into the air, this impacted the farming in the villages by contaminating the crops. It also caused respiratory problems to many people that lived around the factory.

The documentary film, about air pollution in El Paso, targets on how humans assist the greenhouse effect increase in this area. In 2004, El Paso was ranked in the top 10% of the whole United States in toxic wastes. The factories and power plants contribute the most toxins that is distributed in the air. There is laws in El Paso that aid to conserve and reduce pollution within the atmosphere since the city has a history of acquiring such toxic fumes. A survey conducted by University of Texas-El Paso students expose that only about 10% of people are aware of the law.
I think that English textile factories were bad for the health of the working class families because in Documents A and C it says that Children were getting hurt constantly, were beaten, over worked, and never had time to eat In document C, John Barley was abused and when someone came to interview them, they had to lie about their treatment , he also worked long hours and their breakfast was very little. There are many problems that threatens society and one problem in particular, air pollution is a problem that threatens everyone. Air pollution is the contamination of air with pollutants that are harmful to humans, animals, and the environment. It began to be a problem when humans discovered the uses of fire and then the amount of air pollution exponentially grew after the industrial revolution, and is still a problem even today. The largest causes of air pollution are from human activities such as burning of fossil fuels and gas emissions from manufacturing plants. There are ways that ordinary people can help contribute to prevent air pollution and or else face the dangerous consequences of polluted air.
Manufacturing sector on the other hand has grown in comparatively slower pace. The overall performance of the Indian manufacturing sector has widespread implications for various aspects of the economy; employment, being one of the chief areas of impact. Since this sector generates large scale employment for low and medium skilled workers, it is imperative to develop features which will create a conducive environment for industries to grow further.
