Since we know that Sonja is new to her position, the first thing Cliff should have done was to discuss about the goal of the meeting with Sonja. More specific, the purpose of the meeting was for her and Cindy to come to an understanding about sales expectation. The next thing that Cliff should have went over with Sonja is the important of following procedures. We know that it is good management practice for supervisors to have standing plans specified to certain situations. Having procedures limit the chances that things would go out of control. Procedures help managers to quickly solve a problem as soon as they can identify it without incurs further more problems. In Cliff’s case, Sonja’s decision to fired Cindy right at the spot without going
Jonathan, I agree with you completely that the only oral contract she needs to honor is the one with the attorney. The oral contracts with Hermes and the builder fall under the statue of frauds and would not be legally enforceable. Suzy does have to honor her oral contract with the attorney because the attorney performs the service of investigating the title and records associated with the land within the one year limit and informs Suzy of the information that has been found about the land. The oral contract with the attorney would be legally enforceable.
FORMER delinquent and Aborigine, Vickie Lee Roach, was serving a six-year jail term for the 125 convictions she had between 1976 and 2003, from 23 court appearances. At the time of her arrest in 2002, Roach had alcohol, four types of tranquillisers, morphine and a cannabis-related substance in her blood. In an attempt to escape police by driving at a high speed, Roach hit a stationary car, which went up in flames resulting in a suffering of burns up to 45 per cent of the man in the other cars body. Roach had challenged the validity of the 2006 amendments made to the Electoral Act (1918). The amendments prohibited all prisoners from voting in federal elections.
The JonBenet Ramsey case was a case that garnered nationwide attention. To still be unsolved to this day, shows for one, that the investigation was not conducted properly. Tainted Justice System MINNEAPOLIS- In the case against Hannah Overton, who was wrongfully accused of killing her foster child by forcing salt down the child’s throat. Overton spent 17 years of her life sentence in prison, missing her 5 other kids grow up. She fell victim to a justice system that did not take the time for a fair prosecution process. This is just one case that represents a multitude of wrongfully prosecuted court cases.
Lennie v. Curly is an inciting incident because they both are opposite of each other. They are opposite of each other because in pages 63 – 64 Lennie was getting beaten up by Curly, but Lennie stopped Curly’s fist and broke it. Lennie acts like a baby but Curly acts like a grown up adult bully. Lennie is like a baby in an adult body. Lennie doesn’t know how strong he is and he doesn’t try to be mean and hurt people.
I believe it is imperative for Evita to raise suspicion about the cause of Eric’s death as well as the parental competence, Evita needs to make sure that these parents have the ability to raise their children. As a social worker it is Evita’s responsibility to be completely honest about any information she knows in order to ensure that the family is safe as a whole. I believe that Evita needs to raise suspicion to ensure the other two children within the family are safe and the parents are competent to be raising their children. If the Father Bill is in reality babysitting the children drunk, this could have been a major factor as to why the Father didn’t wake up when he rolled on top of Eric. It is obligatory that Envita ensures that the living situation is safe so
Dred Scott vs. Sanford case was the biggest mistake in U.S history, hands down. It is listed as the first case of the top ten worst Supreme Court decisions. Dred scotts case was the most significant because after his, no other case had ruined the reputation of the court quite as bad. This case was a huge deal, and is still an important subject to teach to students today. This case was said to be the case that started the civil war, although that may be an exaggeration.
Before taking a look at this case, think about the following questions. Do students have the same rights under the 4th amendment as adults? , What are students’ rights while being searched on school grounds?, and What guidelines do administrators and teachers need to follow as a result of New Jersey v. T.L.O? The case of New Jersey vs T.L.O involved two freshmen high schoolers who were caught using narcotics in the restroom by a teacher. The teacher took the students to the principal who then asked the students about the incident.
Throughout the history of the United States there have been numerous court cases that have drawn an incredible amount of public attention. Whether this was because the person involved was a known figure, or the offense that's being charged upon the defendant and/or the conviction that the case resulted in. It seems as if the United States just has an abundant of cases to choose from when choosing to analyze a case and that can possibly be based on the justice system used in the states to proceed a crime in court. One of those controversial cases in the history of the United States was the Lizzy Borden case. This case showed how to escape from the hands of the justice system.

Estelle v. Gamble Today I will be doing my Phase 3 Individual Project I will fully be addressing a case totally based on the Estelle V. Gamble prison case. The Estelle V. Gamble case brings about a lot of controversial comments and thought by the American citizens living in the United States because it definitely shows you a big problem in our correctional facilities in the United States. This case made it more then obvious that our correctional facilities needed some work to be done to in the way they responded to inmate medical needs. Well enough of me trying to bable away lets get to the real story and see for yourself in you agree with the Texas Department of Corrections or are you in favor of what the United
Legal decisions The supreme decision regarding health care in prison is Estelle v. Gamble in 1976. J.W. "The State of California versus Scott Lee Peterson (Case number 1056770, 2005)", was an interesting case. This case was interesting because Laci was a very beautiful and seemingly young, friendly, and happily pregnant woman with lots of friends. Her husband, although attractive, had a kind of macho tough guy womanizer type of persona about himself. It is hard to believe or fathom someone being so cruel as to kill their pregnant wife, regardless of their marital problems. Laci came up missing on December 24, of 2002, the day before Christmas.
Love Is All We Need A honeymoon - it's what a couple does after they get married. It’s usually nice, peaceful and filled with joy. However, for one newly married couple in 1958, a honeymoon became disaster. Five weeks after Richard Loving married Mildred Jeter they were sleeping peacefully together in bed when they were awakened by a loud banging on their bedroom door.
