My ultimate mission is to work hard and go on to achieving my goal as a trauma nurse, but most importantly finding out who I am and what makes me happy.
To pursue my challenging dream, I first had to make a huge decision, which was coming to Penta or deciding to stay at my home school. This decision came rather easy to me due to the fact that Rossford 's academics were going downhill, as well as the simple fact of I myself not enjoying school, everything was academics. When I heard about Penta and the drastic changes it had and all the things it had to offer such as a head start on your career I was eager to apply. The application process was rather simple for the Sophomore Exploratory Program, I picked the career clusters that best suited me, Human and Health Services, as well as filled out general information about myself. After pressing submit I couldn’t wait to hear back! Honestly, I was starting to get worried considering by this time I still haven 't

My Intent to Be a Nurse Practitioner Coming from a third world country where there aren’t many opportunities for work and funding for education, proceding to nursing school was a grand opportunity. The privilege to attend a government subsidized school where top students in the region compete to get into the program that allowed only 60 students per year was indeed a blessing. As clinical rotations began, what was once considered a mere opportunity evolved into a true passion for caring as I truly love and enjoy nursing and helping people.
I was not born into the world to do everything, but I was born into the world with great intentions; intentions to make a difference, to be an outstanding leader, ambassador, and advocate to serve and give back to the society. Ever since I have known myself, I have always wanted to become a nurse. A hardship that has made me stronger is, after my first semester in the pre-nursing

I’ve learned that school itself also holds many life lessons in which shape my self-concept. School has made me focused and determined. I’ve set some unrealistic goals, but have seemed to achieve many of them with sheer determination. Guidance from teachers and peers has had a big influence. I’ve been pushed out of my comfort zone and proved to myself that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
What does success mean to me? It means accomplishing things in life and reaching your goals. Everyone has a different view of what success actually is. Success also means setting a goal and reaching it in a time frame you set for yourself. For example I believe finishing college and gaining a career in a field you love is being successful because it is a goal that can be achieved.

Today, I am glad I choose nursing because I have overcome my social fears, learn to be a team player, learn how to prioritize and most importantly learned to manage stress. Lastly, I grew as a nurse with each semester because I learned how to respect and treat each patient as a unique individual. I have also learned to put my patient safety as my priority and provide presence because I realized through my clinical experience that, sometimes that all the patients need. These factors solidified my career choice of becoming a nurse. The nurses were the ones who give care and assistance to patients who were affected by a virus that they didn’t even know much about. The past four years of my life hold both my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. High school can be a very awkward time period in a person’s life. Four years ago, I made the intimidating switch from St. Mary’s School to Algoma High School. There were certain aspects of high school which made me nervous, but academics was not one of them. I learned how to be a responsible student in my earlier years, and school had always come relatively easy to me.
My philosophy of nursing is a statement I will stand by as a nursing student and as a graduate nurse and will continue to incorporate it into my daily care. In my eyes, nursing is the ability to provide safe, holistic care to all people regardless of their age, race, gender, social status, or sexuality. Nursing is a profession in which it is essential to be caring and respectful of all patients in which they may be experiencing the most difficult health situations of their lives and to provide culturally safe care. My values of nursing shape my practice as a nurse and are affected by my views on health.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to be successful in life. I have always wanted to be the better version of my parents and achieve many things in life. During my freshman year in High school, I knew I was going to major in business. I come from a household of five, my father, mother, two younger sisters, and myself. I am the first in my family to go to college and with that being said, I have always felt the pressure to be the best role model and example for my younger sisters.
