Hi Tiffany, There are so many innovative ways we can use technology to better our experiences as educators. We can use technology to support diversity among many methods in which can be used. I love observing my students exploring with technology with many learning subjects. This experience helps them to become better communicators and problem solvers. Thank you Tiffany I wish you the best of your endeavors.
We ensure that our teachers are organized with the content needed to provide a cohesive learning environment. Our school always provides an option for students to receive individualized direct instruction in reading, math or language arts for those that need a more personal learning experience. - Technology-based learning. Ronald Reagan Middle School integrates today’s technology into our classroom curriculum. Students have a top of the line technology lab, equipped with IPad and other technology based products that students with disabilities can utilize.
My goal as a teacher is to equip all of my students with the tools to make a difference. Just like Walden, I realize that technology plays an integral role in creating a positive change. Attending Walden is equipping me with the skills to not only use technology, but also to learn how to create a curriculum that reaches students through technology. When I am successful, I hope to not only create social change but to inspire my students to do the
However, as a teaching assistant, I had to retrieve past recollection of the course material and organize them in a logical, coherent manner for some else. For example, one of my teaching assistant duties involved conducting online test reviews. I now have a greater knowledge of the course material from conducting online test reviews. Before the teaching assistance experience, I had an unreasonable expectation of when I believed a test or a paper grade should be completed. However, I now have a new perception and appreciation for professors and teaching assistants.
The BGS class Adults in Transition is designed to give students returning to school the tools they need to succeed, not only for school but also in work and life in general. The S.M.A.R.T. goals I developed and the research paper I wrote on the challenges and barriers of the adult student will be my guide throughout my future endeavors. These assignments have taught me how to set quality goals, balance and prioritize various aspects of my life, and not let fear discourage me. Creating clear and concise S.M.A.R.T.
Creating an environment where holding a high academic standard of learning comes from incorporating techniques that benefit the classroom as a whole. Observing educators during instructional times ensues reflection on one’s own teaching. The various teaching approaches in Doug Lemov’s Teach Like a Champion series include effective ways to engage learners, manage behavior, and set high academic standards. Techniques such as “Cold Call,” “Everybody Writes,” “Strong Voice,” and “100 Percent” all prove that using routines in the classroom the learning process. If utilized, these systems advance the effectiveness of learning, and manage behaviors in a professional setting.
Studies should allow students to reach across the traditional disciplines as well as to explore their relationships. History, art and literature can be studied together. Computer enable various subjects to be investigated using many forms of knowledge and expression. The major role for academics is to educate and guide students through the training approach, giving special attention to nurturing a student 's pursuits and self-confidence. As computer technology provide more curricula, teachers can spend less time lecturing complete lessons and more time mentoring pupils as members and tutoring them in areas wherein they want help or seek additional challenges.
I love teaching when the learning in classroom is creative and tangible: When I can sense it in the quickening pace of a roundtable or a student’s visible delight in using newly learned jargon; when I can hear the excitement in students’ testimonials about mastering skills that “made a difference” or theories that transformed practices and perspectives. I count these as teaching successes and make it a habit to reflect on their origins so that I can recreate the conditions for their occurrence repeatedly. The material I teach will inform my philosophy of teaching: relevant scholarship, and the lesson I have learned from personal teaching successes and failures. Classroom activities and assignments will be student-led and compelled by students’
The traditional relationship between student and teacher is changed with collaborative learning. We cannot exclude technology which helps to develop all these characteristic of the modern classroom. These classrooms help student to enhance their knowledge and to prepare themselves for higher
Moreover, technology allows students to see the whole world as a resource with themselves being in charge of their destiny. It also benefits students because they have choices and opportunities to explore and share information to a greater extent than available in a traditional classroom. Educators, in my opinion, should be racing to utilize programs that retain children's attention and reinforce methods and concepts taught in class. International competitors are excelling in the areas of math and science by using computers efficiently. Therefore, it is essential that our children are taught how to use and learn from computers in order to produce a society that is up to par with nations
