For this individual assignment, I chose one of the leading business figures in Malaysia, Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong. He is best known as the founder and owner of the Genting Highlands, Malaysia. He was born in 1918 in An Xi, this area is located in Fujian province, China. His father named Lim Shi Quan and his mother was named Gob Ban. He was the fifth child in his family. He has an older brother named Jing Ya, three sisters named Lim Zhuang, Lim Bau and Lim See, a younger sister and brother, Lim Mei and Jing Kun. His wife named Lee Kim Hua and he have six children. His success can be a good example to everyone because he is an entrepreneur who is not proficient in English and he could only speak Mandarin and Malay. He only uses translators only if necessary. In addition, he conducted its meeting in Malay but he was able to deal with almost every nation in the world in the field of business. It can be used as motivation for the students where currently too many students who lack self-confidence because not fluent in English. He also won many awards along with the Genting Group for his contributions, including a Malaysian Entrepreneur Award in 1985, Best Employer Award in 1996, Business Personality Award in 1994 and others. He was also awarded the title "Tan Sri" by the Malaysian government on June 6, 1979 in recognition of his contribution to the country. On November 27, 2002, he decided to resign and hand over the business to his second son, Tan Sri Lim Kok. Obviously, every effort doing by Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong had enabled him to become a successful entrepreneur. Lim Goh Tong was able to smile because this mega project which had placed him as the richest man in Malaysia and also one of the richest in the world. According to Forbes Asia magazine, Tan Sri Lim is the richest man in Asia with total assets of US $ 42.2 billion (RM160.6 billion) in 2006 and he died in 2007 as Southeast Asia 's richest man with assets worth RM 421.8
