I have never been very fond of doing surgery or 12 or more years of schooling, but I’ve always wanted to take care of patients like doctors did. PA’s do that very thing, but they can assist in surgeries if they want. The average schooling for PA’s is about 6 years of schooling, or a master’s degree. They must be accepted into a PA program and pass the national exam to get their license.
