Introduction Background English language is the international language. It plays a role of an intermediate language that everyone in the world uses it to communicate. However, we can build a good communication if we know what they talk about so listening ability is requested. As we know we can speak sensibly only if we understand what is said. In fact, people cannot talk if they cannot hear other people’s talk. That simply means there is not enough language input and there is no output (Bahasa Inggris, 2010). The students who hearing English songs more and more although they do not know and understand what it mean, it will improve their ability to here. There are many reasons why listening skill is complex and difficult. First, students begin study English by reading not listening. Listening has sound, accent, rhythm, intonation but reading has not. Second, there are many English accents in the world. For example, native speakers, nonnative speakers. In fact, English teachers will be local people like Thai teacher. So students will receive teachers’ accents that not native. Third, the native speakers speak English too fast that it is normal speed for them but sometimes students cannot catch the words. From those problems, teacher will find some technique or the way to improve students’ listening skill. Teachers stimulate the students’ interest by activity such as listening English songs. This process involves understanding a speaker's accent or pronunciation, the speaker’s grammar and vocabulary, and comprehension of meaning. An able listener is capable of doing these four things simultaneously. The important factor of Thai student to improve their listening is the English environment because Thailand’s official language is Thai so we almost use Thai to communicate each other. Wiriyachitra (2003), English learning in Thailand is not very successful because the most students lack the opportunities to learn and practice English.
