Literature Review on Climate Change Assessment Techniques, Methods, and Models
A. Introduction
Climate change assessment techniques are important to link different studies with decisions related to management scenarios. These studies interlink different science disciplines to identify gaps and improve policy making. Assessments and study of different models will peruse progress development and identify the changing conditions Earth is experiencing with respect to changes that occur in human responses and the advancement in scientific discoveries.(1) To study essential information in the assessment of climate risks and vulnerability, several steps have to be followed: assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation (2). Assessment starts with the …show more content…

WRM (Integrated Water Resource Management)
IWRM is an empirical concept that promotes the growth and supervision of water, land and natural resources, to exploit economic and social welfare in a reasonable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems. (9)

3. SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool)
SWAT model is used to forecast the result of management decisions on water, sediment, nutrient and pesticide usage with accurateness on river basins. (10)
4. IQQM (Integrated Water Quantity and Quality Model) basin simulation model
IQQM is a water quantity and quality simulation model that has been applied in river systems for water resources management planning. It consists of an instream water quantity module, an instream water quality module, a rainfall-runoff/pollutant generation module and a groundwater quantity and quality module. It is intended to offer information linked to issues such as environmental flows and water quality. (11)
5. ISIS
ISIS is a modular software solutions established for reproduction of water flow, hydrology, water quality changes, and sediment transport in rivers, floodplains, canals and coastal areas. (7)
