Abstract Objective This article reviews the literature concerning the impact of exposure to domestic violence on the health and development well-being of children and young people. Impact is explored across 4 separate yet inter-related domains exposure and child abuse; impact on parental capacity; impact in child and adolescent development;, with potential outcomes and key messages concerning best practice responses to children's needs highlighted. Method A comprehensive search of identified databases was conducted within an 15-year framework . This yielded vast literature which was selectively organized and analyzed according to the 4 domains identified above. From a resilient perspective this review also highlights range of protective factors that influence the extent to impact of exposure and the subsequent outcomes for the child. This review advocates for a holistic and child-cantered approach to service delivery, derived from an informed assessment, designed to capture a picture of the individual child's experience, and responsive to their individual needs. NEED OF THE STUDY We all have to study this issue because this issue is very serious which is going on in the country. Crime against women and children is very bad because if this crime continues then we may lose very special persons like- mother, sister, daughter, mother-in-law, and our future of our country. The crime rate of women and children is increasing at alarming rate. We have to take some strict action towards this crime otherwise this crime and stop this crime for betterment of our country. In India, more than 60 percent of the women suffer from domestic violence, especially in the states of Bihar, haryana., M.P. and other northern west. The most common causes for women stalk and battering include to dissatisfaction with the dowry and exploiting women for more of it, arguing with the partner, refusing to have sex with him, neglecting children, going out of home without telling the partner, not cook properly or at time, indulging in extra marital affairs, not looking after in-laws etc. In some case infertility in female also to leads to their assault by the family members. Other forms of physical abuse against women & children include slapping, punching, grabbing, burdening them with drudgery, public humiliation and the neglect of their health problems.
