One major prediction in the book is that the advancement of television over reading. Bradbury primarily based the book on what he saw as the degeneration of social interaction attributable to TV and radio; he remembers seeing a lady with a portable radio walking along with her husband, and thinking her entirely cut off from reality. In the book, TV has almost replaced human interaction; Mildred is the best example, as she sees TV as being her "real family. " Bradbury even predicts the internet along with his interactive TV scene. This echoes video gaming, where individuals interact with every person solely by digital affiliation, and often only with computer constructs rather than with real individuals.
Analysis Before I even began to read O’Brien (2011), I had already made the assumption that the content was filled with horror stories about her days spent in a mental hospital. After reading the title, I prepared myself for the stories of abuse, neglect, over medication, thoughts of suicide, and calls for help. O’Brien (2011) outlined her typical day in the mental hospital where she had been staying and to my surprise, she concluded by clearing the stereotype known by many about mental hospitals. I found the first fifty-five minutes of her day to be quite depressing myself.
In his short story, ¨The Veldt¨, author Ray Bradbury uses a theme of greed to develop the reader's understanding that too much of anything isn't good for anyone. For example, George Hadley feels that he and his wife, Lydia, have given their children everything they ever wanted with their "reward being- secrecy, disobedience?". (Bradbury 7) Wendy and Peter have been spoiled their whole life whilst never being told no. They have not developed a respect for their parents because neither George nor Lydia Hadley uses their backbone in the child-parent relationship after buying the smart home. These kids have learned this futuristic new way of life, and act out violently when something or someone disturbs this new way.
Bradbury’s Second Story It came on large, jagged toothed, yet deadly finned. It swam just below the water prowling for some fresh meat. Each fin was extended, a long extension to push water away like Moses parting the red sea. Each tooth was sharp and jagged, with rows and rows of teeth it could have been a shredder. And from the great breathing cage of the upper body those two fins pushed water out of the way, which might push schools of fish feet away.
Albert Einstein predicts that though they have yet to see a citation identifying precisely where and when Einstein supposedly said this, have at least found examples of its attribution to him dating back before the 2000s — as far back as 1995.Technology has made life simple and easy ; technology has been changing in our day to day life. Ray Bradbury has written more than 50 novels and some short stories. Some of the Ray Bradbury’s stories, he wants to the reader to acknowledge that technology is the harm to the society and health; going to destroy the future. Technology is like chocolate ; it can harm the child’s health. Ray Bradbury “Sound of Thunder”, “There will come soft rains” and “The Veldt” clearly demonstrate the beliefs that science and the technology should never at an expense of human life.

Many nurses, myself included, would rather not dwell on managing the finances of a clinic or hospital unit. Why would they? Nurses become nurses to serve patients. Most think that the role of making money should be left to the “penny pinchers”. Unfortunately, the sad truth is that we cannot, in any real capacity, serve our patients, without making a profit, so as health care professionals, we must be aware of the aspects that financially propel a business.
Things back in bradbury’s world was different than the world today. Some things are different, like the people today are expanding the way they are thinking and doing things in bradbury’s world. The technology and transportation is almost limited in bradbury’s and in today’s world you can have and use whatever you want in all ways. Technology is updated today 's world and in bradbury’s world it is like they have the old technology and if they do have technology it 's not that interesting or amazing like in today 's science ways. The way that their world is better or worse is complicated due to the way they think and the things they use.
