2.4 Empirical literature review
The information obtained from the empirical research of a study serves to support and provide evidence for the stated problem and the accompanying research questions According to the fact that service is less tangible than a product, the major portion of service quality is found within the delivery. However, customers’ expectations play an important role, since the expectations concerning service significantly differ from those referring to products. Moreover, customer’s expectations vary according to the service type. The importance of customers’ expectations highlights the fact that product quality represents its ranking according to established standards. When consumers assess product or service quality,

(1985) presented 10 determinants which included reliability, responsiveness, competence, access, courtesy, communication, credibility, security, understanding/knowing the customer, and tangibles. In their succeeding study, using the SERVQUAL measure, some of these determinants were combined and only five dimensions remained (Parasuraman et al. 1988). The five dimensions consisted of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Generally, service quality is a way to manage business processes in order to ensure total satisfaction to the customer on all levels (internal and external). It is an approach that leads to an increase of competitiveness, effectiveness and flexibility of the entire company (Costin, …show more content…
It is quite possible that the relative importance of five determinants in shaping customer expectations may differ from their relative importance to customer perceptions of the delivered service. However the general comparison of expectations with perception is suggested by (Gronroos 1992, Lehtinen and Lehtinen, 1982) and supported by the focus group interviews with customers. Thus, customers in this paper are those who consume the services, satisfaction denotes customer’s desire to maintain a business relationship with the organization and it is also the feelings of the customers towards the services provided to them by the

Antwone suffers from displacement and repression, and he also deny a lot about his pass experiences. With that being said, my treatment recommendation for Antwone is the psychoanalytic theory. Antwone denies and bottles up all the anger that he has from his pass without realizing that it is causing him more harm. He refused to talk about these issues because he thought that he does not have an issues. With all the anger bottled up, he tends to displace them by lashing out on his co-workers.

I personally enjoyed every chapter that we have learned to date. If I had to pick my favorites, I would choose chapter seven and thirteen. I found these the most interesting because I enjoy learning about the brain itself, how memory works, and the disorders that occur. I find that the brain is the most unique aspect of the human body. Each brain holds millions of memories and ideas that are special to each person, and I find that beautiful.
Chapter seven covers the list of black psychologists who broke barriers and help paved a way to inspire other black people to achieve their dreams. It also covered the achievement about black scholars at Howard University who majored in the field of psychology. This chapter became one of my favorites out of the book because it highlighted all the excellence that black people work hard for to get where they are so that we can have a better for life for ourselves. After I read chapter seven, I felt very inspired by some of the people that were highlighted like Charles Henry Thompson because it motivated me to graduate college and get my bachelor’s degree in psychology so that I can be able to pursue my career. Reading about all the achievements of black psychologists in the chapter was the standout moment for me because if it wasn’t for those people I wouldn’t be the man who I am today.
DB#5 Original Post While reading this article, I did not get through the first ten sentences of the article because I immediately recalled that I had seen a movie called Compliance that was inspired by true events based off Louise Ogborn 's nightmare. Although, I saw the movie I continued to read the article and even watch an interview about the ordeal so that I could better understand Louise Ogborn, Donna Summers, Walter Nix, who was Summer 's fiancé, Jason Bradley, a co-worker and Thomas Simms, a maintenance man so that I could discuss the article in relation to chapter 12 by discussing how people influence others. Specifically, three points in section 12.3 of the psychology book show a relationship between the Restaurant Turns into A
The two articles I read about ObamaCare, A Brief History of ObamaCare Disaster and The Great Exchange War of 2013, both discussed the issues of ObamaCare. However, the articles differed in their opinions, facts, and the messages they conveyed to the reader. The articles had contradicting opinions about ObamaCare, and when comparing and contrasting the two articles, I focused on the appeals, objectivity, and the authority of the author to determine whether or not the articles were valid sources. Article one, A Brief History of ObamaCare Disaster, contains a great deal of logos and a fair bit of pathos. Article one discusses the negative side of ObamaCare, and presents the reader with facts on the various ways ObamaCare has negatively impacted
LR1 [Literature Review #1] 02-02-2018 Today, the literature we are reviewing is, “The Philosophy of Composition” (1846) by Edgar Allan Poe. This literature explains the process Edgar Allen Poe uses to create a story or poem, such as ‘The Raven’. At the beginning of the piece, the first thing Poe mentions is that a literary work should be short. “If any literary work is too long to be read at one sitting, we must be content to dispense with the immensely important effect derivable from unity of impression- for, if two sittings be required, the affairs of the world interfere, and everything like totality is at once destroyed” (10).
My journey began when The Deron School hired me as a paraprofessional. I learned so much about myself in a classroom setting of diverse learners. First, my strong qualities, such as patience, flexibility to change, and positivity, were simply demonstrated for this position. I have witnessed staff members resign due to stress from unpredictable circumstances. However, I can simply understand the rough days which strengthens my performance to find a solution.
My Practice Currently, a substitute teacher I teach five to thirteen year old students with and without special educational needs. I take on many different roles while substitute teaching and enjoy discovering, investigating and reflecting upon these vastly different classrooms and schools. This essay will explore a mixture of learning theories used in diverse contexts which are perceived as precursors or complimentary to one another. I have come to observe that my practice reflects a multitude of learning theory relationships, particularly; behaviourism, humanism, cognitivism, choice theory and social-constructivism.
This deals with a customers’ perception that a product or service they are buying provides them with a higher value than a competitor. Superior quality can be broken down into two kinds of attributes: quality as excellence and quality as reliability. A customers’ perspective of quality as excellence would be that they want a product or service that provides features and a level of service that has no comparison. With regard to quality as excellence, if customers perceive that the products design, features, and functions are better than everyone else, then they would be more likely to buy their product. Higher quality products allow for a higher sense of value provided to the customer.
In quantitative research, variables are identified and defined, and then relevant data is collected from study participants. A strength of this type of research is that the data is in numeric form, making it easier to interpret. It also studies the relationship between independent and dependent variables and can address questions such as does a relationship between variables exist, what is the direction of the relationship, how strong is the relationship between the variables, and what is the nature of the relationship. To be able to discover and answer the cause-and-effect relationship is a strength of quantitative research. Lastly, in quantitative research, the study can either be experimental or nonexperimental, meaning clinical trial or observational study, allowing for different types of research studies to be conducted.
