Jatupong Mora (2002) did the research to investigate the students’ learning styles, the teachers’ teaching styles, the congruence between learning and teaching styles, and the relationship of the congruence between learning and teaching styles to the English language achievement. The subjects in his study were 98 fifth-year students and 2 teachers at Songkhla Business Administration College. He used the Learning Style Questionnaire, the Teaching Style Questionnaire, and the students’ scores in two courses as the instruments in his study. This study revealed that analytic learning style with the highest mean (3.8418) was strongly preferred learning style. 582 higher secondary schools students were participants of this research. The Perceptual Learning Style Preference Questionnaire was adapted by the researcher for collecting data. The results of this study were divided by learning style categories (visual, auditory, group, individual and kinesthetic), gender, locality and school board. For learning style categories, the researcher sorted the data based on students’ preference from most to least: visual learning style, auditory learning style, group learning style, individual learning style and kinesthetic learning style. Gender, homeland and board of school had no effect on learning style preferences of students. Male students who live in the country area and study in the state board of school and female students who live in city and study in matriculation schools are favored visual learning
