Murder is one of the hardest crimes to commit and get away with due to all of the
technology used today to solve crimes. The only problem with this case is that it was committed
in the 1890’s. Murderers were able to easily escape during these times due to the little evidence
that could be found. This caused crime and murder rates to increase rapidly. Lizzie Borden was
an example of a murderer that escaped all of the charges against her. Many older people today
remember Lizzie as the women that struck her family forty-eight times killing them. Even
though Lizzie was found not guilty many facts have been found that lead to Lizzie Borden
actually being a murderer.
Lizzie Borden lived in Fall River, Massachusetts during the 1890’s. She

When Abby died
Lizzie did not care at all because Lizzie actually benefited from Abby’s death. Killing Abby

would be an easy task for Lizzie because she hated Abby. Lizzie knew that when Abby died
Andrew would give money to Lizzie instead of his wife. Lizzie also knew that when they both
died all of the money would go to her, her sister, and her brother. I think Lizzie loved her father,
but jealousy and the want for money caused Lizzie to end her father’s life. Lizzie was a murderer
that was released back into the world. Although Lizzie was never a suspect in murder case ever
again she still had gotten away with killing two people.
I personally believe that Lizzie Borden should have been found guilty. I think this
because I found many clues that lead to Lizzie being the murderer. Lizzie also contradicted
herself many times during the trial which makes her seem suspicious. If the jury would have put
all of the clues together than Lizzie would have been found guilty. From this case I learned that
during the 1890’s murderers could easily escape. After doing a lot of researching I still believe
Lizzie Borden should have been found
The truth is, Mary Surratt should not have been hanged for her “crimes.” She was innocent because she didn’t do anything
Although they didn't find her guilty with the evidence I portrayed to you to day it is pretty clear to say that she was the axe murderer. All my reasons and up the main summary is that she tried hiding the evidence and tried leaving no bloody footprints to herself. Lizzie borden is a true master mind to get away with murder and on top of that stay in that same town. Wait why did she stay in that town you might ask if she did kill her parents. Well the answer to that is simple she hid in plain
This one girl is responsible for the lives taken in the Salem witch trials of 1692. Abigail Williams is at fault for the Salem witch trials From the beginning to end she manipulated to cause the trails. From the beginning to end she manipulated the townspeople to cause the trails. She accused others of witchcraft which cost many lives just to save herself. She is guilty for the imprisonment and executions of innocent people.
I believe that Lizzie Borden did not kill her parents because of her testimony, her letters written from her time in prison, and her visit to her neighbor the day before the murder. The evidence provided shows a new light to the case of Lizzie Borden. A significant fact that proves Lizzie was innocent is her testimony.
Around the time of the witch trials, the people in Salem were very religious. Rumors were easily spread and it was nearly impossible to prove yourself innocent if people were talking about you otherwise. During the witch hysteria, innocent people were imprisoned and and executed because someone has accused them of being a witch. It is understandable that some would accuse others to save themselves from imprisonment or from possible death. However, I believe Abigail should be held responsible for the imprisonment and execution of innocent people because she threaten the girls, so they would act bewitched and she also lied about getting stabbed by a needle and making it look like as if Elizabeth Proctor did it with witchcraft.
She spent most of the trial knitting, fainted away at the sight of her parents’ skulls, and played the upper class lady in all instances. By buying into the established norms of female behavior, Lizzie showed the world that she was also a woman who could not perform such a violent act as an axe murder.” This most likely played a large part in the decision made by the jury during the initial trial; Which leads one to believe that Borden most likely was not properly prosecuted. In terms of O.J. Simpson, he was known as a celebrity who was “untouchable” and “perfect.” According to the very well regarded news publication “The Washington Times,” in an article named “A history lesson for the kids: Why the O.J. Simpson trial was such a big deal,” it states,” All of this setup is to show that O.J. Simpson was really, really famous by the time June 1994 rolled around.
In Lizzie Borden: Murderess or Media Sensation it states that “There was no physical evidence linking her to the murders” There was no evidence that she did the murders. They didn't question anybody but Lizzie. Anyone could have done it. This just proves that Lizzie did not do
The Life of Sojourner Truth: An Abolitionist Sojourner Truth, whose original name was Isabella Baumfree, was born in Upstate New York in around 1797. In that day, the birthdays of children born into slavery were not kept track of, so the exact date of Isabella’s birth is not known. She grew up in a slave family with 11 siblings. In 1843, Isabella Baumfree changed her name to Sojourner Truth.
McCarthy accused citizens of communism, using the alleged communists as scapegoats for society's problems and to promote an anti-Communist campaign. Similarly, Abigail, one of the initial young accusers in the Salem witch trials, indicted people of being witches. The purported witches of Salem were scapegoats for nearly all their domestic problems. The ritualistic and ignorant Puritans sought out scapegoats to punish those with a growing desire for liberalism and commercialism within the town, which was against their strict religion. Some accused innocent individuals as a wicked solution to settle land disputes, while others used the hysteria to get revenge on townsfolk who threatened their modest lifestyles.
Abby was selfish enough to try to get Elizabeth killed so she could have John to herself. Abigail would do anything possible to get what she wanted which is what made her the most selfish girl in Salem. Another reason Abigail
Abigail uses her own personal desires to get to what she wants even though many people died in the
As it were, there was not enough evidence to convict a killer, nor was there enough evidence to convict Lizzie Borden. She was declared not guilty (“Lizzie Borden on Trial”
The records of the people that were killed or put into prison were accurate, and the killing of John Proctor was the same as well. She was “patient zero” in the disease of fear and panic that spread across Salem, for she was the first person to accuse someone of witchcraft. Also, Abigail did appear at trials with the other girls and accused people there. She was a manipulative girl who killed many people who weren’t guilty of anything but being the first name that popped into someone’s
During the Salem Witch Trials a lot of people were accused of using witchcraft. As a result many people died for other people’s lies, rumors, and selfishness. There is one person that really caused and is most to blame for all the chaos, her name is Abigail. Abigail is to blame for all that has happened in the Witch Trials, the reason for that is because of all the accusing and lying she has done. In addition, it all leads up to her for instance, she used a doll to accuse people of witchcraft.
For the duration of her trial Lizzie Borden was seen as a bane, a murderer, and would be treated like one for the rest of her life. Sarah Miller recognized the wrong in this and aspired to give Lizzie another chance to clear her name by giving nothing but the facts about the case since, during her trial, evidence was left out or overlooked. In her book “The Borden Murders: Lizzie Borden and the
