Short Story Lonely road. Cold, dark and lonely road. I must say that it’s been a long while since I found some. What a really damn cold night. Maybe I’ll just head back to my way to Graham´s and try to get some sleep. With luck, and a lot of it, Roberto has thrown away some kind of blanket or dirty t-shirt. I’ll make it. It’s just one more night. However it’s really intriguing how lonely this road is. I usually see plenty of ours at this times, trying to found some too. Raul Ferrero has always been a hot spot for us all. Really damn strange and cold night. I better be back soon. No one really wants to find any human at this time. This damn fog inabilities me from smelling properly. I can barely smell my tail, goddamn. Yesterday Lucas told me that humans now believed this times …show more content…
Where are you going? I cannot stay here, humans may be around! I mean, I really need help. I was wondering… I mean, maybe I could… I have nowhere to go!” “Oh dear, this is really a damn strange night. I’ll help you, but I have 3 conditions. One, you always do what I tell you to do, always! Second, you should found your own…” – I could not finish this sentence due to an abrupt interruption. “My own what?” “In Lima these means to found your own food. The last condition is that once you get to know your way to anywhere you are going, you leave. And, as now I have got to know you a little bit more, I have one more condition” “And was that?” “You do not interrupt me when I’m talking” So we walked through the whole avenue. We passed the demolished three universities, shopping mall, chapel and lots of houses. In each one of them, she had a really terrible expression on her face, as if she was watching some kind of horror movie. I couldn’t get it. This was so normal to me, so traditional. We had talks in the way to Graham´s. Few, because of my lack of concentration and interest regarding young fantastic tales. However, she did not only wanted to get me bored but to get me uncomfortable
The event that I have chosen is the Freedom Rides, which started May 4, 1961 and ended December 10, 1961. The Freedom Rides were inspired by the Greensboro Sit-ins, and started with 13 African American and Caucasian protestors riding buses into the segregated south to challenge the lack of enforcement to the Supreme Court ruling that segregated buses were unconstitutional. While the activists were peaceful the local law enforcement and people against their message were not. The activists were beaten at several stops along their journey from Anniston to Birmingham with chains, bricks, and bats by Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members in Alabama, and activists that were injured would be refused hospital treatment. I have two things to tell you. One: I 'm not gay. There hasn 't been a day in my life where I have thought about sucking Cody Manson 's dick, or getting fucked in the ass by Cody Manson, or making out with Cody Manson. Two: I 'm a really shitty liar.
We made it before 9, and sneaked into the back door of my house got equipment like flashlights and a sharp knife to protect us if we ever came
Soto uses repetition and motif to describe how weather can depict the mood of a story and how little things can have great effects on people. Gary Soto includes a motif of weather throughout the poem to illustrate the mood and setting of the poem. Soto begins with “December. Frost cracking, beneath my steps, my breath before me. Her house the one who burned yellow night and day, in any weather” (5-8).
she inquired. " Hi Grandma. " I spoke. Grandma looked over me with sunken eyes.
A heroes journey To be a hero. No more does it take a brave knight draped in armor raving his sword at a fire breathing dragons to be a hero. To be a hero can be as simple as changing up from something you've been use to struggle a little bit but then rock it afterwards. Hero’s live amounts us everywhere. Here I will take you through one of my favorite hero journey stories.
I walk a little bit more and find myself seeing a little small home. I go inside and find little people, loving to my seeing they seem very nice. I get offered a drink. I reget it but was feeling very thursty, I later ask for a cup of water. I start feeling drawzy sleepy hopless.

Unfortunately, The bus begins to slow down to get off for lunch at the service plaza. Once the buses parked, we all ran inside to the food court, as we all were starving for any type of food. The time read 1:47 on the tiny analog clock in the food court. I could smell all of the different foods, and sadly, I could distinctly smell the bathrooms all the way from where I walked in. I tried to ignore the smell and got in line for a local fast food restaurant.

“You remember what you want to forget and you forget what you want to remember,” (McCarthy 12). With most aspects of life, the horrendous moments are the times that no one can erase. This applied to The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Towards the end of the novel when the son loses his father proves to be the most indelible moment with the assistance of the feelings experienced during that part. The son encounters a variety of emotions including loneliness, loss and hope.
Growing up as a woman has been quite difficult in this generation, however, growing up around thirty years ago must have been more difficult. Back in the 1900’s, women had different social norms to deal with in society. Women had to stay at home, be housewives, do the laundry, and cook while men went out and worked to obtain money for their family. In Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, she tells the struggles that women went through back in the 1990 's and the social norms that women had to go through. Chopin addresses many instances of symbolism to portray the feeling Mrs. Mallard has about her own thoughts and experiences with or without a man in her life.
It was really cold. I checked the forecast and the forecast stated that it was going to get colder later too so I grabbed my notebook and pencil and headed out before it got worse. It was frigid cold out there. I sat on the grass, shivering, and waited.
Failing my road test is an event I will never forget. I just got out of school and was anxious and excited to take my road test to get my license. As I pulled up to the DMV, I could remember being extremely nervous and feeling as if I were going to fail because of the anxiety. I reassured myself that I had practiced the course numerous times and to remain calm. Before starting the test, I noticed dark gray clouds filling the air that day and the entire experience feeling ominous.
Kate Chopin is the author of the most popular short story "The Story of an Hour". Chopin paints a bleak picture of marriage in this story. It is a short story focusing on a young married woman of the late nineteenth century as she reacts to the news that her husband has died in a train accident. The story was written in a time period when women did not really have right to express their feeling and desire. Women were supposed to stay home and take care of the family whereas the husbands went out to work.
