I am so glad that you are home, Jack. I've heard that you landed on the island. I wonder how you survived in such an island where there is no one lives. During the struggling to survive on the island, there were many problems arose between the boys which lead to the death of Simon and Piggy. Part of the problem is the fight between you and Ralph. It is sad. I really want to hear it from you. The reason why I writing this letter to you because I want to talk to you about the bully, fight, murder on the island. It is the violation when you use harmful language, intimidation to bully other people. It is the act of bully when you show your authority by hitting the boys. Once, you hit Piggy because he dares to speak against you. Therefore, you turned your target on him to vent your frustration and anger. Moreover, you used harmful language to humiliate and intimidate Piggy when you said: " You would, would you? Fatty!". Subsequently, you hit Piggy twice cause Piggy wounded and broke his specs. Since you assaulted people with or without intentional, you are against the law. For these action, I feel so shock and sad and disagree because you should appologize for you act instead of intimidation the weaker. In my opinion, you could be sent to juvenile jail for 1 month. If i were you I will write …show more content…
It is physical violence when you use your strength to against another. For example, when Ralph’s group came to ask you to give back the specs but you lied, then you fought against Ralph because he called you “thief.” In spite of fighting each other, you should apologize to him. I feel so angry about it. Solving the problem by physical violence is not always a good way.I think that you should be punished by leaving you on the island alone, keeping you far away from society. In my opinion, you should calm and be patient in every situation. In that case, you will be lose by the stronger than
Right now I am on a plane headed to Europe. With me are Jack Hileman,John Shleinz,Grant Williams,Nathan Jolly, and David Beilin. We are almost over the Amazon, when the plane begins to shake then fall. Grant screamed, “What are we going to do?” Nathan shouted in response, “I don’t know you tell me wise guy.”
I needed to make the issue of this island public, so that the lives of others are spared. Suddenly, a thought came into my mind; I knew that the only option for me was to go back to New York. I would need to find an abandoned boat somewhere along the island’s coast and use it to sail back to New York. Once in New York, I would need to tell someone who could help me block off the island to adventurers.
The word bullying has now been defined to mean a typical adolescent response to deem to be an outsider. This term fits perfectly for a few characters in this story
The hatred for each other evolves into violence, and they end up fighting. However, them hating each other doesn’t just get them hurt, it also ends up being the reason for piggy’s death. In chapter 11 page 179 it says “His temper broke. He screamed at Jack. "You're a beast and a swine and a bloody, bloody thief!"
Jacks Today was the most humiliating in my entire life. I was glad that we could kill a greasy pig with our faces hued with paint. Seekers felt as though they achieved something incredible and were droning, “Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood” (86) When I was in a rush to portray the entire story to Ralph, he took a look at me red peered toward, rehashing just the expression “You let the fire out” (87).
Lord of the Flies is a book about a group of boys that are stranded on an island after a plane crash. They are the only survivors and there are no adults on the island with them. As a group, they will learn how to survive and create tribes and leadership roles. Not everything is perfect with the groups they create. Everything will fall out of order, chaos and death will be shown in the groups.
Imagine being stuck on an island, with no supervision, regulation or authority. Now imagie being forced into this type if situation as a young child. The human desire for power and supremacy is so evil that it was able to corrupt boys as young as 8 years old. Normal boys turned to savages because of an island. In lord of the flies a group of boys were stranded on a deserted island because their plane crashed.
Simon and Piggy. They are both gone now, both picked up by the tides and pulled into the sea. I have no one by my side anymore, everyone has left to join Jack’s tribe even the reluctant littluns Samneric joined the tribe too. I’ve been walking around trying to find things to entertain myself for the past day or so, keeping the signal fire going so we can all get rescued. Jack doesn’t care about anyone but himself, he doesn’t want to get rescued, he wants to play around on this island.
I meant that! There isn’t a tribe for [Ralph] anymore!’” (163). Instead of coming to his senses, Jack uses Piggy’s death as inspiration to gain total control of the island and its inhabitants and justifies it by claiming that Piggy and Ralph should never have questioned his
On the island, the boys are continually arguing, especially when a rift occurs between the group of boys. One example of Piggy’s effort to resolve the problems boys have is when Ralph goes to Castle Rock to confront Jack. Piggy helps Ralph by repeating, “‘Ralph remember what we came for. The fire. My specs.’
In the novel Lord of the Flies, it is obvious that the character Jack is the savage compared to all the other boys on the island. Jack is the cause of all the arguments and death that will later occur on the island. Many of the boys on the island are scared of Jack when he acts cruel and selfish. This makes them join his group, so they don't have to worry about getting hurt. During a group meeting Jack says “We shall take fire from the others,” (Golding 161).
Lord of the Flies Jack represents being power hungry and disobedient for the incorrect reasons In the book Lord of the flies, there are several things that connect the earth right now and human expertise. In the book most of the boys go through a phase that they never went through before, through out the book they're going through a "animal-like" phase that I feel the reader does not expect from them. I decided a decision} to concentrate on Jack because I believe that he was a lot more animal-like then the other boys because of that I think he extremely stands out because of his actions and feelings he made the other boys animal-like. I feel this is often necessary as a result of the influence he created on the other boys is quite like
jack take advantage of this opportunity to control the boys convincing them that he is the only one that can fight/defeat the beast. After the death of Simon piggy was in denial. Somehow, Piggy cannot accept what has happened. So he attempts to explain, "I was an accident.
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a Russian novelist and historian once said,”The battle line between good and evil runs through the heart of every man.” In William Golding’s novel Lord of the flies, Jack, the supposedly good former choirmaster and student leader, is a representative of evil and violence when tempted by savagery and greed. Jack has the major authority and develops a higher status compared to other characters in the novel. He is a born leader who carries out his concerns over various problems, however the abusive use of power leads him towards the evil path. Golding has effectively used figurative devices such as a beast metaphor, colour symbolism , controlling tone, imagery of Jack’s appearance and environment to demonstrate his desire of power and devolving character.
Jack has changed greatly, over the course of William Golding’s novel, Lord of the Flies. Crashing onto an island without adults and having to survive put a strain on all of the boys, but Jack’s personality altered the most due to this experience. He went from living as an ambitious choir boy, to being a vicious, brutal, beast. Many things changed Jack on the island, but most of all, he created the monster he became.
