“Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back.” This can be understood through the words of Plato, who believed if love can be transformed into the best kind of friendship, then it can open up a blissful life of shared understanding in which desire, friendship, and philosophy are in perfect resonance with one another. Love is a very beautiful thing that all who have heart need, but nowadays, love isn’t the first priority. Distance can play a big role in relationships, nevertheless love can overcome anything. A lot of people are cynical about long distance relationships because of absence and jealousy but it teaches one about themselves. Distance develops one into becoming a better person and discerns a soul into valuing …show more content…
Summer is here and no doubt I want to spend it with my love, Steven. Steven is unique an unlike many guys nowadays. He is respectful, honest, caring and overall he treats me like I deserve and better. We talk about the future and even though our objectives in life are distinct, we support each other. Steven wants to honor the United States and join the Air Force, which, even though many think life gets complicated when becoming a military spouse, I’m accustomed to, given that my dad is in the Coast Guard. On the other hand, I want to move to the states in terms of a better education to achieve becoming a future surgeon. What can a couple accomplish together when their mind is set on divergent futures that involve not being able to see each …show more content…
I started working at the movie theater for further reference in becoming an independent woman. Despite transfer delay from college to college, I finally started my second year at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Steven is now working at a supermarket as a bagger and also studying for his Asvab test. It’s been a year since we started as a couple and we are so excited for what the future has in store for us and how far we have come as a couple. Our next step in life is for me to complete my second years of college and for him to get a high score in his test. We plan on getting married soon but that’s a whole different chapter.
As once said by an ancient Roman poet, Publius Vergilius Maro, “Love conquers all things”. Society has change the meaning of love and how we can love, but does society have the right to stop you from being with the one you love? Why not give a chance to be happy despite distance? It’s scary to know what effects distance can have on two hearts who are used to being together but the base of all is communication. Without communication, everything is at lost. Be with he who makes you happy, he might be the one. And those only come once in a lifetime. Don’t let society tell how one can
Love is a universal emotion. At some point in their lifetime, people will experience some form of love, whether it be romantic, platonic, or familial; however, not everyone experiences love the same way. There are many factors that contribute to the way a person views love, receives love, and expresses love: their family dynamic, past relationships, and most importantly, their culture. One of the factors that most influences how a person receives and expresses romantic love is the culture and society surrounding them. In Junot Diaz’s
When I lived in Vietnam, I used to have a beautiful love with my classmate. I also thought that we should break up when I move to the USA, but our relationship continues until now. Our relationship lasts about 3 years. I also think that it is so difficult to stop this relationship. On the other hand, when I begin to live in a new environment, I realize that I can’t continue to maintain our relationship because of main elements such as finance, distance, and the parents.
Marriage is considered to be a lifelong commitment. You’re expected to work everything out and stay happily in love for the rest of your lives but that won’t happen if you don’t communicate. Lack of
The need becomes all the more pressing because of the fact that you are now living in a country far away from the place of your birth. We know how life can be for an immigrant like you even in such a prosperous nation like Australia. Without that one person to share your dreams and life with, days can be very boring, dry, and lonely despite the success that you have achieved in your
I have been in a relationship with my boyfriend for almost seven years. We have had our ups and downs like all relationships but we’ve always been able to overcome our problems. However, our biggest challenge is when I moved to Florida for graduate school. Instead of us moving to Florida together, I decided that it was best that I moved by myself while he stayed in North Carolina.
The author creates a formal tone for people with long distance relationships. Although people can be separated by distance, their relationships can improve with space between them.
The bustling society we live in makes our lives fast-paced and abundant in people we meet. We are at the height of our traveling capabilities, which has only further advanced our society and the way we go about our daily lives. However, some suggest that our traveling capabilities have actually done more harm than good. Perry Patetic argues that the mobility of our society has harmed our close relationships, drawing us apart from our loved ones. Patetic states, “The advantages to living in such a highly mobile society are thus outweighed by the disadvantages.”
Your love grows and matures over time and the gift is in its permanence, it will last longer than Yarelis’ cute Venezuelan accent, and Paul’s secret tattoo (or something funny). Marriage is working out together what comes, telling the person you love that you’ll be there for each other, it’s an act of service and dedication to one another, and an opportunity to grow as an individual and as a couple. When two people decide to unite their lives, not only are they bringing into the mix their own values, traditions, cultures, beliefs systems and their good and bad habits (insert a funny bad habit for each), but they are also joining friends and families with their own set of beliefs and values (like salsa dancing or the super bowl, or something unique). To make such union work, each person must maintain their individuality while blending the best parts of each other with honor and respect. With much compassion, they must help each other grow as a person while creating a life as a unit.
This week in literacy, students got to watch me blend together apples, bananas, and strawberries. We talked about how blending sounds together make a word, just like blending fruit together makes a smoothie. We learned the letter Qq and Ww by tracing our letters, coming up with words that start with each letter, and by reading My Qq and Ww Book. I taught my Where Am I? lesson by teaching students to add details, use finger spaces, and sounding out words as they wrote their own farm story.
Despite the fact multiple components contribute to the dissolution of a marriage or relationship, one could argue it’s the outdated social views held by copious amounts that constitutes what a successful and happy wedded bliss should look like. Marriage and relationships are not a one size fits all. Marriage or any type of relationship with intentions of building a life or foundation with a significant other is not something for the faint of heart. As with anything in life you must work hard to maintain and work towards helping to make the other person happy all while focusing on your own personal needs and vice versa. Growing up we all experienced different examples of what makes a marriage or relationship work as well as what may or may
The distance between them is yet another obstacle from getting their family together and it gives them the motivation and inspiration to love and care
All About Me Have you ever wondered what makes you different from the other seven billion people on this earth? I am unique in many ways from talents to challenges and lifelong goals, and all of these will shape me into the person I will become. I have had a lifelong goal of becoming a professional golfer and I am reassured this is what I want to spend my life attempting to achieve. I have always possessed a strong passion for golf, which has lead me to try to make it my profession. When I was five, I received my first set of golf clubs for Christmas and eventually took my first lessons ever since then I have strived to be just like the professionals.
However, these transformations have also brought freedoms and tensions as there are also high divorce rates underneath high marriage rates. The contradiction of interests among love, family and freedom has affected the perspective of relationships nowadays and hence people need to recognise their priority of personal
What is love? Everybody has his/her own understanding and definition of love. In order to better understand all the complexity of such a phenomenon, it is worth analyzing specific scenarios. Therefore, this paper concentrates on one of such scenarios, which, in fact, is one from my personal experience. I had been in a long-distance relationship that had lasted a little over a year.
The article’s purpose is to pinpoint specific cultural traits that cause problems in modern relationships. It dives into the history of marriage to illustrate that our modern views on marriage and love are new and specific to the twentieth century. Cultural shifts in our individualistic tendencies are responsible for some of the problems marriages face today. The article poses the underlying idea that perhaps society’s individualistic nature is too self-centered to the point that we push out other’s needs, feelings, and happiness. 4.
