Kalliope at the Hubie 's Tavern looked to me to consists of a group of teenagers. Two female electric guitars players who played them well and sang fine. As did the young female drummer and there is a male keyboard player. One of the female guitar players sang a ballad quite well. But the music they played sound a little too pop to me. But the group is making an album at the moment, a fact they mention while performing. So other people must found their music to be enjoyable. They sang a song called Forgotten. A group called Luddy Mussy present me with a similar reaction when I heard them. Luddy Mussy sound like I was hearing folk music playing. Although the male singer sound like he was singing a country song.

He has always been faithful to this traditional country music sound, regarded as having led country music as a whole out of the heavily pop infused sound it had and back to the roots of the genre. George’s authenic sound is due in part to the fact he is not a singer pretending to be a cowboy, he is a real life, down to earth cowboy. He was born and raised in Texas, home of the real cowboy, and a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. He is not singing about a life he has only read or heard about but one he has actually lived and continues to live.
Theme: Friendship Song: “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” – Randy Newman “You've got a friend in me. You got troubles then I got them too. We stick together, we can see it through cause you've got a friend in me.” Justification: This song relates to the relationship George and Lennie had because even though Lennie was always getting in trouble, George was beside him no matter what. Also, when they got to the ranch, Slim said to them that is not common to see such good friends like George and Lennie, who travel together and look out for each other.
Hip-hop is an influential form of music that displays an artist’s honest and revealing story that many of the general public can relate to. One of the many songs that I can relate to is “Love Yourz” written by J Cole. The song talks about how Cole reflects on the most important things in life such as love and happiness. He realizes that the money and fame didn’t bring him the happiness he desired. To gain true happiness, he needed to appreciate himself and those that love him.

The test of time will either eliminate or set a solid foundation for an actor, writer, or musician’s art to be seen by future generations for centuries to come. Introduction Roger’s and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music is arguably one of the most well known films that many can admit to watching at least once in their lifetime. People all around the world have found this musical inspiring, as it documents growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. This incredibly well written film is based on the story of the Von Trapp family who escaped Austria when the Nazis invaded it during the war. Part of what made this movie so interesting on so many different accounts was the music that accompanied the vivid and exciting scenes. Without music, many could agree that our world would be a sad, quiet, dull and depressing place.
They play more bluegrass and folk music that reference a lot of old literature such as William Shakespeare. The themes of love, God, and adventuring life are found in their music. A quote that directly involves love and is from Shakespeare’s literature is from a song called “Sigh No More,”. The quotation states “Love it will not betray you, dismay, or enslave you, it will set you free be more like the man you were made to be” (Dravs). I believe that this song lyric shows how through the generations recognize the idea of love as prevalent in our society.
