My school is planning to change there lunch menu to something more healthy. I personally think this is not a good idea. The students at are school don't really like the food in general. So taking away the foods they do like is wrong .Yes some students will still buy lunch. Although others wont , because my school is planning to take their favorites away. There should be both healthy and not healthy ,and let the students make there own choice. This in my opinion i think is wrong. My school should not make everything on the menu healthier. We should let the students decide. Let them make there own choice. No kid in the world is going eat healthy every day. I agree that they need to make a healthy decision and all , but let that be up to them.
But changing it to where the students wouldn't even want to eat is a bit much. To me, and I'm sure many other students changing the menu for a healthier one would be a bad idea. We would think, if you take what we like to eat what will we eat? We may think, why take something that's already bad and make it worse? We already like very few items on the menu so why change it?
Also, they believe that they should stick to the menu that they have now because the school would be better off making more money on the regular lunch menu, other than than healthier lunch menu that they want to give us. However, students need to be more healthier and stop stuffing their faces with junk food that is not good for them and that is causing severe health conditions. The lunch menu consists of: Blue Raspberry slushies, Hot cheetos, Chicken patties, nice big juicy Hamburgers, Fried chicken, greasy French fries, Grape and Orange sodas, etc. The lunch menu we have is not very healthy at all. The lunch menu that we need to consist of: Mixed Salad, Orange juice, Apple juices, Fruits, Baked chicken, more vegetables ,and sell less snakcs.
Do you think school lunches are healthy for you or no? Allowing the principal to let us change the meals would lead to less healthy foods then they already are. Its a good thing to have healthier foods since they provide energy for the school day, allowing kids focused more on there works then there stomach growling. . The healthier the food you eat the less your stomach growls to disturb your thinking process or work ethic. Not eating as healthy could lead to energy lost.
Every day students enjoy their lunches at school. They always enjoy eating their delicious meals where they have the option to chose what they want. If their lunch is changed then their options will be limited. Changing the lunch to be healthier will not be something that will be very great for our school. If the school lunch is changed then some of the students that are larger could not get the nutrition they need and hurt the ones that really need those extra calories.
Let's just imagine eating healthier food everyday for lunch , ewe , I don't think so ! While some people believe schools should have healthier lunch menus , I believe we shouldn't because schools do not season food how one person may like them, lunch maybe the best meal someone gets , and the same food overtime is nasty. Many schools do not put seasoning on foods because some students can not have certain ones , so the food does not have that much of a taste already. By making it healthy plus no seasoning isn't all that good at all. Some students come to school looking forward to school lunches.
Growing up healthy eating is encouraged for many people. Some debate that schools should encourage healthy eating as well. However others believe that it is not a schools choice about what children eat. Schools should not have whole wheat lunches because children should be able to make the decisions of what they eat by themselves. Whole wheat lunches cost too much for schools.
First, if the school eliminates the foods students' like then some might stop buying lunches from the
In conclusion schools should not change the lunches because they don't have the power to tell students can or can't eat, they don't have the time and money, and finally because they are not allowed to put a limit on how much a student can eat due to the “No Kid Hungry
During a week they have their meal at the school cafeteria, but that meal is harmful for students' health. So, students need to avoid unhealthy kind of food, if they want to be healthy. One useful reason to change school menu, that can be good for students' health, is that they would get more useful vitamins for their health. It is very important to have enough vitamins in the body, because it can protect students from different sicknesses. Vitamins help students to have better performance at school, because they receive useful components to their bodies.
The school should not change the lunches. Lunches are already healthy. If the school does change it the students may not buy the lunch. Students may start bringing unhealthy food from home.
18% of kids from twelve to nineteen are obese in the U.S. says (overweight in children) by having better balanced meals this would help children stay healthy ultimately giving them longer to live. Eating a good and filing breakfast can give kids the brain power to get better grades in their classes, this doesn 't just benefit the students it also benefits the teachers because the students are more attentive and focused. Schools should be required to have good fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, and grains. Most schools in the U.S serve fried "meat" like popcorn chicken mashed potatoes, peas which kids probably won 't eat because they don 't taste good and a sugary fruit cup says (Photos Of School Lunches From Around The World). This is not a balanced meal and students are paying
Eating has become one of the most scrutinized aspects of our daily lives. People constantly have something to say about what we eat, and how much we eat. With childhood obesity on the rise many schools are proposing the idea of introducing healthier menus. Now, imagine your school cafeteria is contemplating enforcing this healthier menu. Transferring to the new menu may cost the school system a little more, need additional preparation time in the kitchen, or call for the disposal of some of the student's favorite meals.
Cafeteria food in schools is made to be healthy for students, but is it really healthy for students if they think it is foul and do not want to eat it? Should schools change the healthy foods to foods that students would actually want to eat? School food’s job is to be healthy and tasty to get the students through their day, but sadly school lunches tend to miss the mark on both accounts. Public schools rely on money from the government to supply food to their students, but due to several cutbacks the thing served in the cafeteria is hardly food at all. We all know the stereotypical school food mystery meat Monday or a slab of grey mush and sadly that is not too far from what it is in reality.
60% of students surveyed from the school said they ate worse at school than they did at home, and another 55% said they did not eat school vegetables. Overall, the situation which is defining the diet of high school students right now is not one which should be allowed by the school board.
Imagine a school that has multiple healthy school food options, that is worth standing in line for. I think that all schools should have a healthy school lunch. It's very important to have nutritious school lunches so that we can be healthy and have energy during the school day. I think we should have better and healthier school menus. Our school menus are very high in cholesterol and saturated fat.
