It feels weird writing a part of my life on paper as if I am talking to a person and telling them my thoughts, feelings, and secrets. I am going to tell you who I am.
So here is where I begin. I am Lydia Michelson and I am 17. I live with my mother and father, Abner and Deborah Michelson. I am an only child who is soon to be married. My fiancee, Cyrus Brewer, is 18 and he is a tax collector. I fear for Cyrus. With all the anger from the patriots and the group that calls themselves “ The Sons of Liberty” he is in constant danger. I could tell from the deep conversation the man and the clerk were having that the man couldn’t pay for the items because of the tax and my heart reached out to them. I paid for the envelopes and stamps. After I paid for the items I walked out the door, forgetting about the papers I was going to buy for you, and a boy walked up to me asking if I was Cyrus Brewer. I said I was indeed and he handed me a letter and told me that he didn’t know who it was from. As you could probably guess I was curious, so I opened the letter and it said to go to the “Liberty Tree” at 2:45. It was 2:20 and I decided I better be on my way just to see what this mysterious person wanted. I arrived at the tree at 2:45 and as soon as I arrived a man approached me in all black. I imagine he did this to help hide his identity and to hide it even more he wore a black hat pulled down over his eyes. And it worked well for I had no idea who he was. I introduced myself and he asked me if I approved of the Stamp Act. I told him I did not. He asked me if he thought it should end I said yes. He asked if I would participate in events to end it, I said of course. The man told me I just joined “The Sons of Liberty”.” Cyrus stopped there. I stared at him in horror and stood up and

Sidoonie smith and Julia Watson rhetorical situation, is that “people tell stories of their lives through the cultural scripts available to them”. Another situation is the fact people have a discursive practice of how they control the stories they tell about themselves. Claims made are the fact that people don’t really know that much about themselves when writing an autobiography. For this reason Sidoonie smith and Julia Watson explain to the audience how individuals use the concept of agency to tell stories about themselves and ways to do it. Sidoonie smith and Julia Watson use varies contexts of autobiography that is better interpreted and understood.
This initial attack on his home was not a complete plundering, the mob broke windows and in a failed attempt to find him, the mob went on their way, dispersing on their own around mid-night. The main character, Oskar, is the quester, and his “place to go” is through the five boroughs of New York. His reason to go on this journey is to find the place where the mysterious key fits. Normally, people wouldn’t notice if an item is slightly shifted, but Oskar is special and happened to notice that the vase in his Father's room looked a little misplaced. Oscar went to see what was inside the vase but accidentally hit it off the ledge and it broke, that’s when the envelope containing the key appeared. Oskar’s goal is clear: he must find the answer to the mysterious key that his dad put in an envelope labeled “Black,” and hopes it will reveal some
