MESA is an organization I wish to join because math and science are my favorite subjects. Learning is valuable to me and I try to promote creativity into my work. I am an efficient student and if I joined MESA, I would hugely benefit from it. A profession involving math and science is definitely something I aspire for in my future and MESA is a smart way to assist in reaching that goal.
I perform well on my classwork, tests, and quizzes. My work ethic and study habits are strong. Quizlet, flashcards, and notes are all study tools I use. I have been on Honor Roll for each year at Jack Jouett Middle School and get all A 's. When confused about a concept, I always ask for help early so I understand it before the unit becomes further difficult. Math and science are interesting and bring challenges.

(Girls Excited about Math and Science). Participants of G.E.M.S. take part of numerous stimulating activities and apply teamwork to solve complex puzzles. The girls in G.E.M.S. build shapes out of ordinary objects. For example, constructing a bridge out of marshmallows and toothpicks is one thing they did. I have gained substantial experience regarding problem solving and teamwork from G.E.M.S.
Beyond math and science, there are a few other hobbies I have. I am particularly musical; playing instruments and singing have been a piece of my life since I was small. In the time following when I started drawing a few years ago, I have improved rapidly. Currently in drama, I am the assistant director of the class play. As a person in that position, I have become more sociable and confident. These comprise only several of the hobbies and interests I have.
If I become an engineer or a scientist when I grow up, MESA will be a helpful step to take. It will support me to become a stronger student and problem solver, and will propel me in the right direction for my future
I am an eighth grader at Jericho Middle School. In my ELA class, I read the book The Other Wes Moore. My hobbies are playing piano and video games. Also, I enjoy running and swimming. My favorite subject is science.
Working with my parents and participating in the FBLA competitive events have shaped me as a person. My parents own a struggling motel and do not have much money to hire employees. This encouraged me to step up and take over managerial operations and front desk responsibilities while they worked at another job. Because the motel is not vastly technology advanced, the room renting process and bookkeeping was all on paper. I have seen firsthand how tedious these processes could be on traditional pen and paper.
Ever since I was a kid I didn’t think that I was good at anything. My pastor said that everyone had a calling, a gift, something that nobody else can do better than that person. It was so hard watching people around me find their gift, like my sister. My little sister is good at about anything art related. She can draw, play the flute, and if she ever did theatre she would probably be good at that too.
I am looking for more than just academics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During my four years at Northwood High School, I became involved in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. As a result, I have been recognized and honored for achievements both inside and outside of school. I realize that titles and academic achievements are limited, but some of the impact I have on my community and other people’s lives is what really matters. Therefore, I plan to continue my active involvement in extracurricular activities while I am a college student.
To be in National Junior Honor Society you have to have good character, citizenship, service, and leadership. First, I have good character. I take criticism willingly, and I also welcome recommendations. Second, I demonstrate citizenship well. Civic involvement is very important, and I have high regard to freedom, justice, and respect for the American form of government.
While still in high school, my favorite subjects were always creative or hands on. My favorite class was ceramics. I enjoyed it because it gave me an opprutunity to do something thoughtful,
I consider myself to be an Advanced Placement student. I have many strengths. I am very organized, and constantly keep all my work for different classes separate, and my space tidy. In class, I try to be open minded about the material, so that I may learn it to the best of my ability. I always do my homework, and have everything submitted on time.

The sorting would scream “HUFFLEPUFF” I knew it was the right match for me. I envision there is a reason for everything and I can’t wait to see what it is! Maybe Hufflepuff will win the house cup. Or maybe even I will be on a quidditch team someday.
As a student at Catalina Foothills High School, I believe I have lived up to the tenet of service and display ideals that the National Honors Society seek for in a student and citizen in society. If I am granted membership into the society, I believe I can contribute my qualities to the community as a member of Catalina Foothills National Honor Society and demonstrate the highest standards of behavior to represent our school honorably. To begin, I would like to establish the importance school and grades plays in my life. As of freshman year, my GPA has been a 3.8, but it constantly continues to grow and improve. My grades are a top priority in my life, because I’m aware that in order to succeed in life you need to be knowledgeable of how the world works.
During my time at USC, I hope to not only major in computer science, but also to acquire entrepreneurial and leadership expertise. When I graduate, I hope to use my major in computer science to get a job at a technology firm to get gain a better understanding of the technology industry. After learning more about the technology industry for a few years, I hope to establish an organization using the entrepreneurial and leadership skills that I acquire from USC. The purpose of this organization would be to benefit the lives of everyday people through technology. The power of technology is immense and, if used correctly, can make everyone’s life better.
With its dedicated faculty, diverse location, and vast network, USC's Marshall School of Business will help me prosper in the world of business! I hopefully intend to use these opportunities to its fullest potential by studying harder than I've ever studied-- USC is my "reach" school and I want to keep up with other students-- and soaking in SoCal culture to broaden my scope on business trends and life in LA. Because LA is such a diverse area, I am bound to gain insight on many different cultures, social classes, trends, and types of people, which will give me a unique, firsthand experience with communication and boost my overall knowledge! I plan on using this to help myself succeed in business and stand out when I apply for an internship
This isn’t really a “hobby”, but it is related to what a psychologist does. Even though this is the case, one of the aspects that most interest me about psychology is analyzing people, understanding what they are going through, and doing my best to help them. I have been doing this with most of my family and friends since I was little, seeing as my mother needed my help a lot of times and the fact that my friends use my
My main interests lie in my math and science classes, which is the reason why both these careers rely heavily on these subjects. My life goal is to achieve the title of one of these distinguished
Strengths: As a student one of my strengths is organization. I can say I can keep my school materials and notebooks organized in a way that I and others can comprehend. The reason I can say I am organized is because, I have hardly ever had in the past or present any issues with trying to find homework or assignments because I always kept my materials for each class organized and in a place I could easily find. Another strength I have is social skills. I can believe that I communicate with others well in a group.
