In the play Macbeth, Macbeth’s fate is what drives him to his decisions for both power and greed. This is portrayed when Macbeth when he kills Banquo and his son because his greed sees them as a threat to his throne, killing the king for power above all mortals, and his fate ultimately leading to his death and freeing time. Macbeth has done countless sins in order to keep his rightful position as king, though his greed for power has led to him killing his best friend Banquo because the witches have predicted that Banquo’s descendants will be king. “Thou shalt get kings, though thou be none.”
If a man told a lie, he will make more lies to make the situation looks true. Once a lie begins, it will never cease. That is, one lie leads to another. Macbeth and Scar probably are such, they murder their king to get the property of the country, but also have to kill more people to maintain this position. Macbeth killed Banquo, Macduff's son and wife, he tries to hide his evil plan under people's eyes.
Macbeth had a very high social rank before he murdered king Duncan to start with even though he was a general for king Duncan to begin with. Macbeth is said to be a very dynamic character
There are characters in Macbeth and As I Lay Dying that are greedy. Macbeth wants to be king and knows Macduff is not loyal to him. Macbeth plans to send murders to kill the family of Macduff. The murders kill the wife and children of Macduff. Macbeth kills the family because Macduff is working with Malcolm in England.
Here lay Duncan, his silver skin laced with his golden blood, and his gashed stabs look'd like a breach in nature for ruin’s wasteful entrance; there the murderers, steeped in the colors of their trade, their daggers unmannerly breached with gore. (2.3.129-135) To avoid accusations, Macbeth frames Duncan’s guards for the murder. He lies by saying that he saw the guards kill Duncan and that he killed the guards because he was emotional after watching his king die. He manipulates others in order to clear his name.
Another reason why he was a villain because he killed members of his family so that he would become the ultimate successor to the throne. This should never be how a king becomes the ruler of his kingdom, ever. Even though I believe that Alexander the Great is a villain, others may think he was a hero. They may think that because he had conquered so many other nations.
Perhaps even more gruesome and revolting is when Macbeth becomes furious with Macduff’s treason and says, “I’ll put a sword to his wife, children and all unfortunate souls who might follow him.” Macbeth is so delusional to keep his power that he is willing to kill an innocent family to preserve his throne. Macbeth ends up killing Macduff’s entire family, and this leads to Macduff vowing to get vengeance against Macbeth for his cowardly actions. This shows the impact that power had on Macbeth, and the fear of Macbeth that changed peoples’ lives
At the beginning of the play “The Tragedy of Macbeth” by William Shakespeare the character Macbeth went from being a brave, and loyal soldier to a heartless and power wanting tyrant who assassinated King Duncan with the help of his forceful wife Lady Macbeth. At the beginning of the play the Weird Sisters gave Macbeth three prophecies; that he would the Thane of Glamis, that he would be Thane of Cawdor, and that he would be King over all. After Macbeth kills King Duncan and everyone catches word that their King is dead people start to wonder about who would do such a thing. Soon after Duncan’s death, his two sons, Malcolm and Donalbain decide to leave Macbeth’s castle as a precaution against their own death, Malcolm ended up fleeing to England and Donalbain ended up fleeing to Ireland. Once Macbeth is crowned King he seizes his power through being violent and committing murder, his life completely darkened with the crime he has committed.
Cladus killed his brother the king so he could get the throne and also still his woman from him, cladus wanted everything his brother had to that is why he betrayed him and kill him when he was a sleep as said in line 26 “revenge his foul and most unnatural murder” (line 26 page 57). His death was not of great betrayal. He also betrayed hamlet his nephew by one killing his father and second taking the throne from him when it was rightfully his. Because of his betrayal many more thing happened because of it and many people got hurt because of
He ended so many innocent lives just because the witches got to him and messed with his head. Not only did the witches mess with his head but so did Lady Macbeth because she tells Macbeth that they can not wait much longer for Macbeth to be crowned king of scotland so she tells him to kill Duncan.
Macbeth is afraid of all the deaths he is responsible for and loosing the throne. He has now murdered King Duncan, the servants, and Banquo in order to become and stay King. He is so parnoid about someone stealing the throne, he has murderers kill his best friend. Macbeth 's guilt and worries are eating him up. All he is thinking about is whom he should kill next.
Macbeth in history as well as in Shakespeare’s play was king of Scotland, both historically accurate Macbeth and Shakespeare’s Macbeth gain the throne by killing Duncan but do so in very different ways. Drawing any more parallels between the two stories is limited mainly just to names and place from this point forward most likely because of William Shakespeare’s far from unbiased point of view. Historically accurate Macbeth in my not so humble opinion is the far better and much more interesting story. Historically accurate Macbeth was born the son of Findlaech, an earl of moray, and Doada, the second daughter of Malcolm II.
The quest for power in literature leas the character’s actions which in turn reveal and enhance the reason why the work was written. Shakespeare uses Macbeth and his quest for power in order to show that the desire for power leads to the fall of these tyrannical people. First, Macbeth’s quest for power shows how easily anyone can seek power which causes actions that one would normally not do. Macbeth was a nobleman who had met witches that told him he would become king which he believed meant that he had to kill the king.
The Most Important (An analysis of the importance of act 4;2) The story of Macbeth is an interesting and intricate story to say the least. A story loosely based around insanity and murder it is considered one of the most important stories of all times. Written by a famous man, William Shakespeare, this play is a story of betrayal and literal backstabbing to achieve the good and the rightful outcome of the story.
The witches’ big prophecy about Macbeth’s future was used both for Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s self-fulfillment, and also for the witches’ own self-fulfillment. In Macbeth, Macbeth pursues his self-fulfillment not with his heart or conscience, but by these weird sisters’ stories. It is also seen how the witches reach their end goal by using their stories for their own self-fulfillment. An example of how Macbeth used their prophecy to help guide his self-fulfillment is by killing Duncan and Banquo.
