The song, “Shades of Cool” by Lana Del Rey reminds me and connects to the play, “Macbeth”. The song connects to Macbeth’s whole plot line in many different ways. The song is mainly about Macbeth and how he struggles with his guilt. In the beginning of the play, Macbeth meets three witches and Macbeth murders Duncan, who is the king of Scotland, at Macbeth’s home. In the beginning of the song, the song starts with a guitar playing a slow tempo. When Macbeth came back from murdering Duncan Macbeth told Lady Macbeth, “I have done the deed” (II.ii.19).
