Who is Malala?
Malala is a eighteen year old girl from Pakistan. She was born in Mingora, which is in Swat. She is famous for her activism for female rights for education in Swat.

In Swat there’s many Taliban everywhere and they don’t let girls go to the school. This is what Malala wanted to change.

In 2012 when Malala was at the bus on her way home from school a man in white clothes stepped on the bus and asked ”which one of you is Malala?” Nobody said anything but their eyes showed who Malala was. The gunman pointed his gun at Malala’s head and shot three times. The first bullet hit her in the head and one hit her neck. Luckily it didn’t kill her. She was surprised when she woke up because she had got a bigger voice than before.

And before that she started to talk about female rights. She did, well she was just a child. She grew up in Mingora as I said with her parents, two younger brothers and two chickens that they had as pets.

As she has done so big and great things she has been rewarded with 6 different awards. Some of them is the nobel prize, FN’s prize for human rights and the Sakharov prize for freedom of thought. She got the first prize in too thousand eleven and the most recent in too thousand fourteen.

Why did I chose her?

I chose Malala because I think she is a very strong person. It’s hard for a women to do all the things she has done in a country like the one she lives in. It’s not many women that does that. She is a good inspiration for me and for many other
