Malala Yousafzai is a hero because she defied the Taliban and was assertive about her beliefs in girls getting an education. “Malala exposed the violence and uncertainty of daily life in Swat, standing up to the Taliban’s intimidation of ordinary people and adding a human dimension to the political and military coverage that had been the only news coming out of the Swat Valley at the time” (2) describes how brave of a person she is to stand up to those who shot her in the head. As a schoolgirl in Swat Valley, she recorded what the Taliban did such as bombing girls’ schools and banning education for girls. This being exposed, and the fact that the Taliban shot a fifteen year old girl in the head, led many Pakistanis to support Malala and afterall,
“And my school uniform-my white shalwar and blue kamiz-is on a peg on the wall, waiting for me” (Yousafzai 1). Malala Yousafzai builds her credibility by introducing herself as a student who goes to school in Islam, which portrays that she lives in Islam and is educated and furthermore, makes Malala a reliable source to inform the audience about the enormous problems in Islam. The rhetorical strategy, ethos, is powerfully utilized to convey Malala’s audience because Malala has proven that she could be fully trusted about the information she will give to the audience about the Taliban’s. Malala claims that the Taliban’s are taking over her hometown and making new laws such as, denying women’s rights to education in which the audience could easily believe Malala is lying however, because Malala built her credibility of someone who could be trusted by addressing how she lives there and witnesses everything, she has gained the trust of her audience. Therefore, Malala Yousafzai powerfully utilizes ethos to convey her message to stop the Taliban’s control over Islam by claiming that she is from Islam and goes to school there which makes her trusted by the
Malala Yousafzai was born on July 12, 1997 in Mingora Pakistan. Even as a young kid Malala was an advocate for women 's education. Before the taliban came Malala attended her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai ’s school. When the taliban came and started making rules against women 's education, Malala gave a speech with the title “How dare they take away my basic right to education.” (Malala Yousafzai: The Girls ' Hero)At her school a BBC journalist asked for someone to write about life under the taliban.
Johns’s family home was burned to the ground because of the hatred towards them. Barbara Johns, with a few other people, made schools and other communities desegregated. Johns made an impact in America and the world by protesting with courage to earn equal rights for blacks. Two crusaders named Barbara Johns and Malala Yousafzai stood up for what was right in their societies. “Malala The Powerful,” an article by Kristin Lewis, illustrates how Malala wanted an education for girls and she did this by using her voice against the Taliban.
In areas such as Pakistan and Afghanistan women are deprived of education. The Taliban forbid women to attend school. Malala Yousafzai has been fed up with these boundaries and restrictions the Taliban has set for women and bravely speak out against the Taliban. She has been a peaceful protester in the impactful fight towards the right of education for girls across the country. Malala Yousafzai has profusely utilized Imagery, Juxtaposition, and tone to successfully state her claim on the fight for education rights to the underprivileged children in Pakistan and around the globe.
Pulling the trigger with all of their wickedness and hatred, the Taliban shot Malala and deserted her to perish like the summer soldiers part of the militia at Valley Forge. Her survival of the gunshot caused woman’s rights to education to be allowed in her part of Asia. Therefore, an idiosyncrasy that each aspect shows is true
This book reminds me the film called “I am Malala: the Girl who Stood Up for Education and was shot by the Taliban”. Malala Yousafzai is a 17 years old girl. She is Pakistani school pupil and education activist living in Pakistan. She also has a hard life in Pakistan because during the period, the Taliban’s military hold on the area intensified. What makes the film real is its reference to the real Islamic political organization Taliban that was organized in 1994 and armed in South Afghanistan.
I think that Malala Yousafzai is the most inspiring because she was strong and stood up for women’s education. The text states that there were many threats toward her. The text also states that Malala got shot in the head. This shows that she was risking her life for women 's rights, even though she could’ve lost her life. Malala was tough enough to stand up for women’s education, even though people were threatening
Malala Yousafzai made history when she spoke at Canadian Parliament, not only because she became the youngest person to do so, but because she made a lasting impact on all who heard her. Despite her young age, her role as an activist for the right to education for girls, and her undying commitment to fight for that right has created a worldwide impact, touching the lives of millions. Since beginning her campaign, at just 11 years old, she has raised awareness and millions of dollars through the Malala Fund, become a published author, and the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize. Teen activists, although they are young can have a big impact on the the world. Also even is if it is a small impact it is still an impact and can inspire others. Activism can come in many forms and ways, but all of them are focused on improving our world and us. Passion is a major factor in becoming and being an activist. You can’t just do it because you were told to and if you do, it definitely won’t mean as much.
A genuine hero is as rare as a sunflower in the desert, bringing brightness, hope, and revival to all who interact. Involuntary assistance, presumptuous positivity, and colossal conviction create a hero destined to change the world in an immense way. Malala Yousafzai’s sheer conviction to fight for her faith and the greater good of society is so strong, the face of death is no obstacle for defending personal and global beliefs, proving her unambiguous heroism. Yousafzai and Odysseus are categorized as separate antithetical heroes; Odysseus is a deceitful and revengeful hero, while Yousafzai is purely genuine and truthful demanding justice.
Give women equal rights? Give them freedoms and choices? How backwards is our way of thinking here in the West? In her book, “I am Malala”, Malala Yousafzai tells the reader about her time growing up in the Swat valley and the things she experienced as the Taliban entered her valley and began to take away certain freedoms . When looking at such serious topics, it is important to look at both sides of the story, in order to make sure that the actions made by not only Malala, but also the Taliban were rationalized on a scale that we would expect from nearly all people.
Words can be a powerful weapon, especially in the case of a young woman who nearly lost her life fighting for a proper education. The book I Am Malala, written by Malala Yousafzai, follows the story of a girl who did what no one else had the courage to do, which was to stand up. After reading the inspiring book, I finally opened my eyes to how blessed I am. I often take for granted being able to express myself, safely go to school, and am treated with the same respect as my male peers. The Taliban destroyed Malala’s village, slaughtering people, flogging girls, bombing schools, and devastating lives.
Malala explains what makes her who she is. Readers are able to learn more about Pashtun culture and the religion of Islam. Malala explains the struggles her and her family have go through, such as having to seek refuge in another town due to threats from the Taliban, or Malala’s tragic attempted assassination. Despite these setbacks, Malala also had positive moments in her life, like winning the Pakistani National Youth Peace Prize and her miraculous recovery from a bullet to the skull. Malala Yousafzai's story is fascinating and it is extremely inspirational for all

Girls all over the world face challenges. Baby girls in China, India, and many more countries are killed or abandoned by their families because they are simply unwanted. Unwanted because of the money a family loses when the girl is married. Girls like Malala Yousafzai, the school-girl that was shot in the head by a Taliban militant, have taken matters into their own hands. Malala knew that if she spoke in public about how unfair the ban on girls’ education in the Swat Valley is, she and her family would be murdered.
