Manila Bulletin, having a slogan of “The Nation’s Leading Newspaper”, is largest Philippine newspaper in terms of circulation (Manila Bulletin, 2005). The newspaper is considered to be the second-oldest newspaper next to The Manila Times. 1900 was the year Manila Bulletin was founded. The shipping journal was owned by Hanz Menzi (mb.com). Moreover, as a shipping journal, it changed its name over the years. From 1906 to 1972, the newspaper was called Bulletin/Manila Daily Bulletin and from 1972 to 1986, it was called Bulletin Today. Today, the newspaper is being called “Manila Bulletin”. The newspaper did not fail to do its job in the Japanese period.
