There are 7 billion of us in the world today, and were facing some huge problems. But talk doesn't help someone out of poverty, awareness doesn't reduce pollution, grow food, or heal the sick. That takes doing. The solutions are here. There are great inventions that generate clean energy, that make freshwater, and that improve our health. This is the story of Manoj Bhargava the founder of 5-Hour Energy, and his team of extraordinary people achieving the impossible.
Manoj's drinking product didn't take too long to become one of the largest consumer products in the world. It has reached over $4 billion in revenue. So to help those in need, it was decided he would use 99% of his earnings by giving it away. Whenever someone comes to Manoj with

Some communities could run out of water entirely. For example, the Imperial Valley is having a water crisis and has two fight bigger cities for the water it owns. No matter how smart a person can be, an invention is always smarter then we are. With the ocean itself we have all this water but we can't use it. One of the reasons Manoj and his team of inventors went after inventing better uses for water is because it is more fundamental to human life. The rain project is a machine capable of turning seawater or any dirty water into clean drinkable water. It is a machine that mimics nature itself. The beauty of this machine is that it is a very self-contained system and you don't need a lot infrastructure to do it. It has different levels of quality water, but the one that stands out the most is the pharmaceutical grade water. For fresh clean water comes food, comes livelihood for farmers, and health. Whether you're rich or poor doesn't matter. If you don't have water you have to move or die. That's going to happen around the world. We have no choice but to create better ways of getting water, so ideas for easier and more effective ways of acquiring water are planned at stage II. At this very moment in California nobody is really paying attention to it or saying it, but if the state doesn't get water and solve this problem California will ultimately become a desert. And so another ingenious invention is created. The team created a barge that would be capable of creating over 15 to 20 million gallons of water when put to work out at sea. And all in only one day. All in shortfall of Southern California would be covered. The advantage of that is if people were to say, "We don't want you there," then we can pack up and move to the next place. The answer to every so far mentioned problem has to cover the problem with lowering energy, it is to be able to be made in massive quantity, and it must be able to get past political issues. All of these mentioned
In the article, “Water Controversies Boil Over”, from Sacramento Bee “Opinion” section, published on APril 26, 2009 by Mat Wiser. He argues the conflict about conserving the water. Mat wiser exclaims that in the next year nations will fight over water, because it’s not being handled in the most efficient way it should be. Water isn’t being handled efficiently, and that kills land, food crops, and animals ecosystems. Mat Wiser says that, “There is probably enough fresh water available to meet humans needs the problem is poor management of water, which results in scarcity and conflicts,” (2009 Wiser).
This article touches base on one of numerous ongoing issues in California right now, drought. The author travels to a few of the various counties that are feeling this drought the greatest. Meanwhile, he also interviews a few farmers on the issues, to get their opinion on the drought. “Generally, farms established before 1914 get their water allotment before farms with lower-priority rights.” (Richtel, page 6).
In Thirst: Fighting the Corporate Theft of Our Water, Alan Snitow and Deborah Kaufman shed light on the water crisis that is affecting billions of people across the world, an issue that has been far too common for far too long. “Water scarcity, already a crisis in much of the world, is a coming reality in the United States” (Snitow and Kaufman, pg. 2). Recently studies have shown that this crisis has spread to America at the hands of our government and big corporations, thus becoming a topic worth arguing. Water is not only a necessity for life, but a gift from god and a human
The Scheme collects and stores the water that would normally flow east to the coast and diverts it through trans-mountain tunnels and power stations. The water is then released into the Murray and Murrumbidgee Rivers for irrigation. Seventy per cent of all the workers were migrants. They came to Australia to work on the project, attracted by the relatively high wages.
water is necessary to survive for plants, animals and humans. and we are destroying our community primary sources of water by using too much of it. it 's predicted that water withdrawal will drains rivers and destroy habitat for many species of fish and wildlife. Cities like Las Vegas water is pumping from the colorado river,
Has the lack of water supply affected your life in the past three years? California has been in a drought recently, and there has been a great decrease in citizen water possession. The state should regulate water usage because people are using too much water, and it is affecting other people. There have been many cases of water shortages in communities. “For Angelica Gallegos, the worst part has been going without a shower for five months.”
By becoming involved we could deter water poisoning, reduce the greenhouse effect, and live in a healthy, sustainable and eco-friendly
So if you want to have enough water and every morning wake up and have water you should find great solutions to fix this or help our state of California. All people of California are noticing that plants in their garden are dying because they don't have enough water for their plants. Some people are trying to conserve water, replace grass with fake grass, or even abandon their homes to a place with more water,
Hurry hurry conserve the water before it’s runs out! Did you know California is in a drought? Animals and crops all over California are dying because california has been in a drought for four years now. The government is limiting the water uses to farmers.
The water issue in California is growing every day, especially in a time of drought. However, we are thinking about the water usage in California all wrong. As stated in Michael Hiltzik ‘s article, “The Wrong Way to Think about California Water”. California 's revenue is greatly dependent on agriculture, which is the biggest water consumer. Although, this is all the media focuses on as the cause of water depletion, especially California 's almond crops.
A stinky, polluted river in China, littered streets in Mexico, or a 1.5 degree temperature rise should not be the status quo that we are striving for. We should aim to improve the health of our environment and our surroundings. If we do, we might live in a better world. If we do not, UN
The text allows for the reader to understand what the water crisis is, and how it is impacting our daily lives. The text also gives the reader multiple different examples of water control in the United States. But, because of all the corporate greed, corporations are ruining our natural resource of water by creating it into a commodity and selling it. This book gives great insight on how corrupt the government can be when they want to make a cheap buck. Again, “Water is a necessity of life that touches everyone in their own homes” (Snitow and Kaufman, 1) water is a right to all humans, not a commodity for business
This is because according to me there is environmental crisis in the world. However, environmental problem is not seen at a global scale by most of the people but in reality it is seen as a small problem. The real fact is that, the general public is unaware of the accurate information. They don't know which information is clear and which is unclear or how environmental problems differ from one another. For the public, if the area or society in which they live is clean then there are no or less environmental issues.
We need to stop for a minute, see what is happening to our surroundings and start taking actions. If we are the future of the
2% of earth’s fresh water is frozen in ice caps; and, only 1% of earth’s fresh water is available to consume. 2. Unfortunately for our planet, supplies of water are running dry at an alarming rate. The world’s population continues to soar; but, that rise in numbers has not been matched by an increase in supplies of fresh water. Let’s talk about what is going on around the world; I will mention to you just a few major cities, and show you how they are dealing with water shortage.
