August Pullman a 10 year old boy living in New York was born with a face deformity, in the book he has his two parents and his older sister, Via. Because of his face deformity he has been homeschooled since fifth grade, but his parents have decided it's time for him to go to an actual school. Conflict that takes place is when one of the kids Julian that took August on the tour is noticeably mean and makes fun of August behind his back. During the school year the kids in his class start to get used to how he looks and August feels more comfortable. There was a boy who went by the name jeffy he liked to play hockey and he was very good at it. He was about 5,10 had blonde hair with brown eyes, Jeffy was not the biggest kid he was pretty skinny. Everyday after school he would go to the Windom Arena and he would skate and practice playing hockey. One day after he was done skating he went upstairs to the dry land room and he was working on his clap bombs and and his top cheese snipes. When all of a sudden he heard a loud horn and a scream so he dropped his pucks and stick and quickly ran down stairs to see what was going on but when he arrived there was no one there.
It was March 1963 at Mississippi State University. I was going to class early to get in some last minute cramming before the test over chapter 14. Even though my friend Eric Swan and I study all night. Eric was my best friend from high school. Eric and I did everything together, except when he was with his racist friends.

Mr. Smith immediately told Ty to stop messing around and sit in his seat correctly, but Ty had to explain that his head was stuck. Mr. Smith sent Jackie to the office to have Ty’s parents called while Mr. Smith tugged at Ty’s head. About 30 minutes later Ty’s parents, the school nurse, the principal, the janitor, and the yearbook photographer (Lisa) were all in the classroom. During an early morning, a kid had his test scores handed back to him for him to discover that he scored a 75% on an Algebra test. This kid had dread and disgust smothered on his face. Soon after, the kid would grow a desire to do much better on the upcoming finals, in which he studied from when the fiery sun rose until the mysterious moon would arise to brighten the night and all its inhabitants, just because he had the hunger to ace the upcoming test. The day of the finals arose as the kid felt ready to battle the final test for his Algebra class. The kid fought long and hard and would soon find out that he scored a 93% on the test.
Just, after Christmas James was going to start his 5th grade, he was nervous because he was different for everybody, he moved from Canada to America, he had been to 2 schools in Calgary I’ll tell why did James move from Canada to America where he lived. He went to Bashaw primary school, one day on Halloween night he was dressed as a vampire and he loved Halloween better than Christmas. He walked into the school, everybody was high fiving him, but when arrived at his class his best friend said something about him to the other bullies that bullied him when he came to this school. He said I’m just friends with him because he’s very good at maths and science and I just copy every single time, and from that day he has been upset and moved to America.
A person's individuality makes life more fascinating. Jerry Renault, in the novel The Chocolate War, is a high school freshman trying to fit in Holy trinity high school that has an annual chocolate sale that everyone participates in. Jerry decides to not sell the chocolates which allows for him to express his individuality because he is breaking a tradition of every student in Holy Trinity. His decision is influenced by the bullying and abuse of the Vigils and the monotonous routine of his father. However, his decision is mainly influenced by a random encounter with a hippie on the street.

we were play 29 palms that week, they are our biggest rivals after yucca and i just wanted to get yellow paint on my helmet so bad. last year when we played them a big boy crushed me and i hurt my ankle. i was really hoping he was a freshman last year so i could get some payback. I woke up the morning of the game put some makeup on and a mask that looked very human like and went to school. i told everyone that i was an exchange student and would only be there for two days.
In the 1988 film Stand and Deliver, high school mathematics teacher Mr. Escalante embarks on a mission to teach calculus to his students , despite the difficult circumstances each of his students face. Throughout the movie, he pushes himself, his class, and his family to their limits, often putting in extra hours at school, even if it could hurt his health. When his entire class successfully passed the AP exam, he and his students faced more difficulties when the community and the administration accused them of cheating on the test. However, Mr. Escalante worked even harder, and prepared his class to take the exam a second time, which his entire class passed once again, proving that they were highly skilled mathematicians, despite their poverty.
