The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Did the strong leader Martin Luther King deserve getting assassinated? The assassination of Martin Luther King Jr was unjust because Martin Luther King was a very strong leader. He fought so hard for what he wanted, which was equality. Although, some people believe that he did something unusual and encouraged people to go against the “normal”. Martin Luther King lost his life trying just to get what he wanted, equality. Martin Luther king was one of the greatest American Civil Rights leader in the 1960s. He fought so hard for everyone to become equal and for african american rights. He wanted to be able to go to the same schools as white people, be able to hangout with them, and be able to interact with them. After a year long boycott, Martin Luther King finally got the rights he wanted. He made a world famous speech called “I have a dream”. The speech inspired millions of people. …show more content…

His work today continues to serve as a model of leadership excellence. It is amazing how he was able to rally people to support his equal rights cause, making the world a better place for us all. He was driven, charismatic and willing to do whatever it took to make a difference. When it came to his mind that he wanted equal rights, he didn’t avoid it. He was outgoing and went for it and then got it. When Martin Luther King died on April 4, 1968 it was a bad day for many. He got assassinated by James Earl Ray.
