The Montgomery bus boycott was a protest which black people did not ride the bus for over a year .It started on December 5, 1955 and ended on December 20, 1956 after 381 days. After the boycott ended President Lyndon Johnson passed the civil Rights act. He passed laws so that black and white people had the same rights.
