Leadership theories As we know Martin Luther King’s leadership style had bring great impact to us till today .His well known leadership style such as pioneer change and no hesitation in others are still popular . He understands that the outcomes from answers inspires the others who believe on in his vision . There are two leadership theories which explains the leadership effectiveness of Martin Luther King Jr. First will be the transformational theory . Criticism of transformational leadership whereby conceptual clarity are lacked . This is due to it had a broad range of activities and characteristics including vision creating , trust building and so on . Research shown that the components of transformational leadership are overlapping and undefined dimensions . Secondly , transformational leadership are measured whereby there are distinct factors with one another . Some of the transformational factors are not interrelated with transactional and laissez-faire factors . The positive outlook and confidence used from him helps to get equality for African Americans in the 1960's. During his “ I have a dream “ speech , his vision is to people that has the same skin colour with him gets the same rights as the people in America ("Charismatic - Leadership Styles", 2017). There are limitations in charismatic leadership whereby leaders lack of clarity . Charismatic leader sometimes couldn't see the company’s potential danger when the controls got caught up The abilities that he got in his confidence makes him feel that there will be more success and growth for the company . Leaders might loss threat to the company’s welfare if none of any other personnel management along the same level with the same information (Frost, 2017). Besides , it also lack of successors and visionaries .For example leaders might giving much trust in himself and takes majority control in the workplace . Due to this leaders might feel overburdened by turning over control to others because usually the control was on hand or doesn't feel that other people have the capability to handle things like how he do . In this situation it leaves the company without any successors should the charismatic leader leave the company. Where the authority and freedom are not given by others to get the control ,there are limited ideas of leader from the the company's future
