Dreaming big is one of the biggest ways people make large accomplishments. Dreamers have a plan, establish a goal, and go after their dreams like a lion going after an antelope. Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK), famous civil rights activist, was a large part of getting African Americans rights equal to the rights whites had, something most African Americans could only dream of. King had a goal of getting equal rights, he planned all of his speeches, marches, protests and he continued going after this dream despite the discouragement he received. Some other African Americans wanted to have those rights, but were too scared of the obstacles to try and achieve this. If it weren’t for King would anyone else have stepped up to fight for these rights?
Thesis Martin Luther King, Jr., through the use of eloquent writing and appeals to emotion, refutes several local religious leaders' criticisms of the his and the SCLC's outside involvement and nonviolent direct action taken to draw attention to and build support for the end of segregation, not only in Birmingham, but all of the United States. Main Points First King refutes idea that he is an outside agitator that doesn’t belong in Birmingham, as he and several members of his staff were invited to the city by a local affiliate organization of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). He also asserts that his involvement there is valid, as “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” as communities are connected and affect each other indirectly.
Growing up was unfair for MLK JR. He and every other african american citizen had been treated unfairly. They had been segregated and hated, but why? They only difference is their skin color, their all the same on the inside. MLK knew that it was wrong to have segregation.

Martin Luther King junior was a very brave man who fought for the right of his fellow negro Americans. Although all his efforts to free racism and black people go in vain resulting in a assassination attack by a white American being named James Earl Ray. Mr. King as a youngster was set apart from others and racially discriminated and all he had as of friendship were his brothers and sisters. All of his other negro classmates were either slaves or were kept home to avoid the outside opinion. That's when the idea of being an activist struck his mind.
In this world there are many leaders, some do not listen to other people and are very stubborn. Others listen to their supporters and critics to make their decisions thus leaving behind their own opinions and thoughts. A strong leader in this century should doggedly stick to their idea because they should not become too flexible and be very strict to apply the correct rules and regulations for a good society. Martin Luther Kind Junior is a very good example of this belief making sure that his voice was heard through his people, and on the other hand George W. Bush did not follow these guidelines. Martin Luther King definitely fits these qualities of a strong leader because he was able to remain loyal to his opinions.

“Ben, make sure you play Take My Hand, Precious Lord in the meeting tonight. Play it real pretty.” The last words Martin Luther King ever said before he died to a tragic ending of his life. Martin’s assassination was unjustified because he was a man who stood up for justice , equality, and nonviolence. However, many felt that his ability to bring words and ideas to life, to inspire people, and to wake people up were very dangerous in a system built with manipulation and deceptions.
Malcolm X was born Malcolm Little on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. Malcolm was exposed to white racism and the black separatist movement at an early age. His father, Earl Little, was a Baptist minister and a follower of Jamaican-born, black nationalist Marcus Garvey. When the Littles lived in Nebraska, the Ku Klux Klan tried to prevent the Reverend Little from conveying Garvey's teachings. The Littles consequently left Nebraska, eventually settling in Mason, Michigan, where they found the racial climate no better.
