People make history and history makes an impact on the world; Ella Baker did just that. Never putting herself at the center of attention, Baker’s main involvements in history include the establishment of Dr. Martin Luther King’s Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, working as a director of branches for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and lastly, forming meetings for the people from the Greensboro sit-ins that transformed into the Student Nonviolent Coordination Committee (SNCC). Although unable to face any grave consequences, Bakers mainly impact on history was during the Civil Rights era from 1931-1986. Baker was against segregation at the time when there was racial discrimination of African Americans and minorities.

During the 18th Century the United States Constitution was written and the majority of the Founding Fathers were religiously associated with either Christianity or Deism. What greatly differed these two religions was that Christianity’s doctrine stated that God created the universe and actively is in control of it. On the other hand the Deists denied the Trinity and believed that God created the universe, and then left it to run it’s course. Aside from this, the Deists received their sense of God and morality from nature instead of the Bible. Deists can easily be identified by their church involvement, their participation in the ordinances or sacraments of their church, religious expressions, and what friends, family, and clergy said about that Founder’s faith.
It is a common fact in today’s society that many persons believe that religion has brought about more division rather than unity, more harm rather than good. The Christian Church is primarily known for its numerous separations. Christianity is partitioned into several different denominations, of which the Methodist Church and the Baptist Church form a part of. Both of these denominations do contain similarities as well as differences that set them apart. Some of these similarities include they both believe in the Triune God, meaning three persons in one; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Martin Luther was the man that started this all. He was a former Monk or Catholic Priest, that didn’t agree with some of the church’s views. Various religions have made a great turning point on European history. One of the most notable figures of European history, a German theologian and religious reformer named Martin Luther, had so much passion about his faith of God. The New Church (or Swedenborgianism) is the name for several historically related Christian denominations that developed as a new religious movement, informed by the writings of Swedish scientist and theologian Emanuel Swedenborg who born on January 29th, 1688 in Stockholm, Sweden. For the remaining 28 years of his life, Swedenborg wrote eighteen published theological works, and several more which were unpublished. He termed himself a "Servant of the Lord Jesus Christ" in True Christian Religion, a work he published himself. Some followers of The Heavenly Doctrine believe that, of his theological works, only those which Swedenborg published himself are fully divinely inspired. Swedenborg spoke of a "New Church" that would be founded on the
