Think of a product or service that you use regularly and describe what it is. There are numerous products that I enjoy using in my daily life. These products range from home properties, technology, fashion, and cosmetic. However, one product that is synonymous with me is ‘Mary Kay’ cosmetic products. As an entrepreneur, there are various ways I would go about developing a team that would help me develop and sell the product. First, I will implement the Tuckman model of forming, storming, norming, and performing stages to develop the team. In the storming stage, the team is assembled and introduced to each other and they articulate their interest in the team and what they apparently intend to accomplish with the team. In the storming stage, I realize that the team member can begin to have personal ideas of how the team and its work should be, but it is a part of the development process. In the norming stage, as the team progresses through the storming stage, the team finds a focus and concentrate on the task before them. And in the last stage, which is the performing stage, I should see the team engage in problem-solving and start to implement changes to the work they are assigned. Finally, I would prepare for the last stage of building an effective team which is the adjourning stage. This is actually the climax of the team or a period when the team has completed its project and ready to wound down (Entrepreneurship, n.d.). So, this is how I would go about developing a team helping me on this …show more content…
There are different ways to meet these people and convince them to join my team. Some team member will be people of the same faculty or department with me in the university who might pick interest in my product and see the necessity of lending their expertise. Others may be working in a similar field or discipline, which I could meet through networking. In these days of technological advancement, it is possible to meet people with similar or complementary interest online and in various organizations. Other possible places to meet these people are at a professional conference, at trade shows, and at company meetings. Convincing someone to join a team requires more than knowing and meeting the person. However, to convince these people to join and work with me in the team, I will have to explicitly clarify the vision of my intention with them. In other words, I will explain the purpose of the company and the product idea to them and the role of the team in the product development and subsequent sale of the product. It is important that a team understand its formation purpose and function to achieve maximum results. I will also make known to the people what goals are important for me to achieve; whether it is a financial goal, improving our skills, or expanding to uncharted market could be necessary to convince them to join the
We need to finish and conduct final testing in order to write our final report. Each individual has to finish first draft of his/her assigned part of the final report. On Sunday, we will have a meeting to do the presentation and practice presenting for the Tuesday presentation. Also, we need to send a list of things to improve team dynamic to Tracy and SAs. Michael will take responsibility for making constructive comments on the final report so other team members can fix their part.

Teams can create solutions to problems in shorter time than individuals can do on their own. A team’s ability to see the solution through its implementation with collaboration is critical for success. This increases quality of a product to negate problems as they occur (Kokemuller, 2010). Communication between team members increase allowing more understanding and ideas to emerge. Relationships are built giving team members a sense of purpose and the ability to communicate more freely.
This is the last stage for the group which is going to work together permanently. However, for temporary group such as college assignment group, project team or specifically any

In order to accomplish missions and tasks successfully, teams must be cohesive and unified, as well as meet and exceed the standard. In order to build teams, leaders must develop teams through three stages, formation, enrichment, and sustainment. The first stage, formation, is the stage in which the initial team is built and comes together for the first time. The second stage, enrichment, is the stage in which team members gradually grain trust in themselves, followed by their peers, followed by their leaders. The final stage, sustainment, is where teams are fully invested in their teams, and are proud of their group.

INTRODUCTION The word ‘team’ can be defined as a group of people working together towards a common goal. A team also generally is known as a group of people with different skills and different tasks, who works together on a common project, services, or goal. Then, the important thing in teamwork is ‘collaboration’, which is the act of working effectively with others to achieve a common goal. Collaboration acts as the lifeblood in the team, even the team is not large enough, but the collaboration is required.
The external pressures significantly affect the formation of the team. Personal identity and complex interpersonal interactions result in a highly charged environment and a tense group
The leader would delegate specific tasks for every team member. Adjourning: This is the last stage and the task is completed, there is a good feeling amongst the whole team as their goal was reached, a sense of achievement. A good leader would show recognition for every team member that worked adequately. Types of Teams Functional Team:
In 1965, Bruce Tuckman proposed the “forming–storming–norming–performing” model of group development, of which encompasses the chronological phases necessary and inevitable for a team to grow, problem solve, and perform to its highest capacity (Tuckman, 1965). The first phase, forming, is the initial step in a team’s development that inevitably determines whether or not the team will experience success or failure in their future endeavors. The forming phase, much like its name suggests, encompasses the first instances of a teams meeting where plans regarding their task are discussed and agreed upon. In the “Remember the Titans” video, this stage is depicted by all of the members of the football team coming together for the first time, and eventually meeting their coach. Storming is the second phase in effective team building, and it is also a point in which many disputes between team members can arise.
BRUCE TUCKMAN THEORY of Forming-Storming-Norming-Performing: Bruce Tuckman developed this model of team development in 1965. The focal point of developing this model is a team building challenge where the team developed a given task to handle problems, face objections, and differences in views at the initial stage to the completion of the given challenge with finding appropriate solutions, plan their work to achieve set target or goal. It was considered a good practice of team building activities and important for the group to rise and develop belongingness, ability to achieve the target and build a good relationship. Five Stages of Team Development: FORMING is the first stage where groups were created and assign task to complete.
MACRO ENVIORNMENT: Macro environmental factors are those irrepressible external factors that affect the company’s decision making process. These factors include demographic, socio-cultural, economic, political-legal and also the natural factors. Demographic factors – Demographic factors include age, sex, religion, location, thickness, occupation etc. Apple Company has 217 stores in United Stated and about 273 stores worldwide.
There should be a skills mix, were functional expertise can be found in each members so that each and everyone has its own designated task to accomplish and at the end all of the research and work that have done will be gathered to create a something that will benefit the workplace. Since teamwork involves everybody, problem solving skill or decision making skill should also be present to all members so that when an issue or problem
Members of the team are mutually committed to the goals and to each other. This mutual commitment also creates joint accountability which creates a strong bond and a strong motivation to perform. Without purpose and goals you cannot build a team. The purpose must be worthwhile and create a sense of doing something important together. The goals must be challenging and specific so that each member can understand how they contribute to the success of the team.
