Every man or woman who chose to stand and fight for this country should be considered a war hero because not every person makes life-altering decisions like that. A final reason why Paul Revere should be considered a Revolutionary War hero is because Paul used his businesses to support the Revolutionary cause. He manufactured gunpowder for use with our troops and printed money which benefited all the colonists. He also opened a copper rolling mill and was able to make copper sheeting for the USS Constitution. Paul Revere was able to use his business smarts to participate in events that helped save communities and people from a British takeover, as well as use his businesses for a cause that was near and dear to his heart - the Revolutionary War.
General Ulysses S. Grant had a great impact on the United States both in his time as a war general and in his time as president. His role in the Civil War was instrumental to the Union victory and the strategies he employed saved many union troops and ended the war quickly. He had many wins, but also many losses and setbacks that were devastating. He learned and adapted through those setbacks and won the war and the American public. The United States would have had a much harder time winning the war and with recovery efforts afterward were it not for General Grant. Grant was a very prominent figure of the time period and led the Union to victory and helped heal the fractured United States afterward.
Whether its through less corporate power, Hull Houses, or racial equality, these reformers transformed American society in an influential way. Each of these people had been creating improvements because their society needed change. They had realized that every person has their own responsibility to help make society better, and they decided to do their part. Even now, their impact on society all those years ago still have lasting effects. Progressives were able to find an innovative solution for social issues because they thought of it as a civic duty.
Have you ever notice how people say “ The United States of America” like it was the best country in the whole world? I pretty much agree with that. People see the United States as if it was perfect, however, they never knew or know much about who are the heroes that helped our nation to be that perfect. One of is Abraham Lincoln, he was the 16th president of the United States and he is regarded one of America’s greatest hero due to his role as the Savior of the Union and emancipation of slaves. He helped the United States of America became united during the civil war, he also ended slavery, and lastly, he chose to lead his country into a better place and took the consequence of which is death.
Think about when someone helped you in life and they always have a plan B if things so south, and they find ways to solve problems. A hero can also be someone who helps others with homework, helps someone carry things, or even help someone cook. A modern day hero is someone who helps our society, and helps other people when they need help. Or you could be a like Bella Abzug is an perfect example amazing because she helped the world. Bella Abzug is a hero to women by helping them with the rights we have today, she has overcome many obstacles, and she has made a difference in the world.
The most effective way to do this is by using pathos. So he uses powerful sentences such as “America was targeted for attack because we’re the biggest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world.’’ , “Terrorist attacks can shatter steel , but they cannot dent the of American resolve.” He also uses the word “our” many times in order to cause a feelings of unity among the nation. He then tells what has already been done to help solve the problem of 9/11. By doing this he gives a sense of relief to his audience. Finally he quotes Psalms 23 in order to give one last word of encouragement.
The Napoleonic code was Napoleon’s Greatest Civil Achievement which was a big success for him. I am now going to inform you about how Napoleon was a hero to the people of France because of Public Education, Public Works, and Napoleonic code. The reform of Public Education was a good thing for the people. Napoleon believed that we needed more educated people and educated leaders. Napoleon made Education Universal to the people.
These poems and epic tales that depict them as heroes, but whose values would make the world a better place today? Beowulf is selfless and believes in the greater good for the populous as a whole. Achilles is selfish and believes in what is best for him and the people that he cares about. Today’s society is massively larger in scale to societies depicted in these tales. While a common goal to achieve what is best for the whole is great for a government, it would be near impossible for the hero, or one person, to achieve this.
Benjamin Franklin was an early pioneer in self improvement and self awareness because he had the courage and humility to look at himself in a different perspective, to find flaws and make an attempt to correct them through his scheme for moral perfection. Franklin succeeded in applying his scheme for moral perfection and this is evident because his achievements, accomplishments as well as reputation as a whole are still being held in high regard among people all over the world, even today. It seems Benjamin Franklin's legacy is still influencing generations of Americans as we continue to learn about his life, inventions, and decisions he made as an early American politician. Benjamin Franklin was a great American who strived to improve himself and the world around him and as a result his life continues to inspire people all around the globe who seek moral

His leadership during the war was one of no compromise but at the same time understanding that he would eventually have to unite the states once the North won the war. His actions eventually led to the abolition of slavery across the United States.Thsi shows how the actions of early presidents have a positive outcome in the growth of the U.S and its people because today the abolition of slavery has a major impact in the lives of the U.S and its citizens. There is equality and diversity. This can be seen when you look at our 44th president Barack Obama( currently in office in his last term). Ulysses Grant took during the Reconstruction and was responsible for helping to pass some of the most important Reconstruction time legislation. The most notable of this legislation being The Civil Rights Act of 1870 and 1875 and of course the 15th amendment. Grant also took a strong stance against the violence of the Ku Klux Klan and sought to protect the rights of African Americans. Nearly 80 years later when the United States was still dealing with race relations, Eisenhower also proved effective. The most notable of his achievements in this sphere was his use of federal troops in Little Rock to enforce the desegregation of public schools adherent to Brown vs Board of Education, as well as his signing of civil rights legislation in 1957 and 1960 to protect the right to vote by African-Americans.
Who do you think was our greatest president? Between Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson, I believe that Lincoln was the strongest. Lincoln managed to bring our nation through the Civil War, "one of the bloodiest and costliest in the Nation 's history" (Stone 6) with his "leaderhship, his commitment to values, and his strong moral fiber" (Stone 3). He used various strategies to survive the war, including having advisors from the opposite viewpoint to be aware of both sides of every issue. What Lincoln is remembered most for, however, is his efforts to abolish slavery, which are considered "his greatest contribution to the history of America" (Stone 5).
Abraham Lincoln was one of America’s greatest presidents .Knowed to the world as the “Great emancipator”, Abraham Lincoln left a legacy behind. As the 16th president Lincoln managed to save the nation, he took the first step towards abolishing slavery, allowed blacks to join the military, gave his world famous Gettysburg speech, and many more. To many people Abraham Lincoln was a hero, to others he was a man with a questionable motive. Through the eyes of Hofstader, Abraham Lincoln was a man who was inconsistent with his beliefs not only as a president but a politician as well. In the first few paragraphs, Hofstadter illustrates Lincoln as being a self made politician that used his “unfortunate upbringings” to further advance his political career.
