She thought it was insane at the time. In 1965 she began coaching at Allen Jay High school. The Pickaway Center continues to enjoy our Volunteer Opportunity at the Ross County Dog shelter. The dogs have gotten so use to us coming that they all stand waiting by their cage doors when we enter the back room. When the weather is nice we enjoy taking them for walks, playing fetch our just relaxing with them under the shade tree. We then will come in and make sure the dogs have plenty of fresh water and that their cage area has been cleaned out. Before leaving we make sure to pass out treats and give them one last hug before seeing them
