Statement of Purpose
I graduated with B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in August 2013 from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. I was born in a family of engineers, from my mother’s father who retired as Chief Engineer from Irrigation Department (M.P. India) to my father who is currently serving as Senior Foreman in Saudi Aramco and my uncle who is Executive Engineer in Irrigation Department (Uttarakhand India); I have always been surrounded by people serving as role models in the field of engineering services. This eventually became my source of inspiration to pursue under graduation in Mechanical Engineering. The seeds for my entry into the engineering world were laid when I took physics, chemistry and maths as my core subjects

I had several opportunities to work in Oil and Gas sector over the duration of my under graduation. It has guided me to choose my next career path with specialization in Oil and Gas Engineering.
I have a fervent desire to conduct my post graduation at your esteemed university, benefiting from the fact that University of Aberdeen is located in the energy capital of Europe with extremely capable faculty, vast research opportunities and state of art labs for carrying out further project works. I hope that my academic accomplishments and test scores would give me a favourable chance for entrance into the MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering.
The other reason for my craving to attend University of Aberdeen is from the fact it will allow me to be a part of convergence of people from different race, religions and cultures. It will aid my further development of a broader outlook towards life and growing my personality even more. It will provide me with technical as well as managerial skills required to succeed in today’s competitive
With this in mind, Bosworth informs the students of the extreme competition in the workforce. Therefore, to gain knowledge of the rest of the world, he recommends studying abroad. Bosworth concludes by clarifying that every faculty member involved in the institution is to help students succeed. However, the students must put in the effort to succeed
Why is it important for colleges to have a mission statement? It is important for college universities to have mission statements because it indicates what the college academic policy offers students. Mission statements should provide the organization’s purpose and sense of direction while making the university look attractive within the organization to incoming students. A successful mission statement should be able to covey ethos, pathos and logos in some sort of way which will be used in principles of the mission statements. In this paper I will be evaluating, analyzing and comparing the three mission statements that I picked from University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Coastal Carolina University, and University of Florida along
What happens if universities are more focused on appearing attractive or eye-catching or selective? How will students be rest assured? In reality, universities are more focused on what 's on the outside then what 's on the inside more than people know about. The means to
Why are you planning to attend Oakton? Include your educational goals/career interests/professional aspirations and your plans to meet these goals. I am planning to attend Oakton because having known my financial situation for some time now, going to community college is the best choice for me. This is especially thinking in the long run. My goals at Oakton are to graduate with a 3.5 or above GPA and to take courses to help me get my general education out of the way which will allow me to focus more on the classes that I need in order to succeed in my major and to help increase my understanding with the job I hope to pursue.
That is who I am: eager and motivated to go beyond the necessary. I value engaging myself in a culturally diverse environment and interacting with passionate individuals constantly stimulated by innovative ideas. I want to be passionately connected with my studies knowing that I will make an impact in the
Jack Ma once said, “The world needs new leadership, but the new leadership is about working together.” This could not be more true at Boston University through its Kilachand Honors College. I believe it is because their approach of interdisciplinary problem-solving, is about expanding students’ world-views. In this program you are learning with different individuals who have different interest and fields of study. According to Pew Research Center, “Political polarization is the defining feature of early 21st century American politics...”.
Furthermore, there is something to be said about a culture of college graduates that are holding that diploma because of reasons that are larger than just “because I want to make money”. By having more graduates with this kind of mentality, we will see a larger shift of professionals in the world that have more depth, meaning, and purpose to their existence in their careers. This not only affects the workforce, but also can influence the climate of the
After summer break, I returned to Westlake High School for my junior year, feeling as if something was missing. The decision to spearhead the creation of a chapter of the Science National Honor Society (SNHS) at my school arose because of my desire to establish a niche where high school students could express their shared passion for the sciences. The SNHS would provide enlightening scientific activities and opportunities for students, and the Science club would serve as a path to introduce members into the society. I initially proposed the creation of the society in a meeting with the Principal and Board of Education. Quite a few obstacles had to be overcome to start a new organization in the school.
This allows higher learning opportunities for all the
Never judge a book by it’s cover, but that's all people do these days is judge, judge, judge. Some may say welding is a dangerous, unpredictable, a harmful thing to participate in. Some might even ponder on the word “Weld” and think if they know what it is. But only if you've done it then you will never know what it feels like (or what it is), the rush of adrenalin and the art it can create. People who weld learn to be themselves, they become more alert and welding can help with further career choices.
For many people, higher education is needed as they pursue their desired career paths. However, the same seven deadly sins of lust, gluttony, envy, greed, anger, sloth, and pride that keep one unhappy and unmotivated in everyday life, even if one does not realize these are the source of their unhappiness, can also be applied even more specifically to students. Most will struggle with at least one of these areas, if not all of them, in their academic journey. Being aware of the common potential downfalls, though, can better set up a student opportunities to overcome them. This, in turn, will help them in overcoming obstacles in their life after school as well.
Nowadays, technology devices become plays an important role in our daily lives, especially in adolescents’ categories. While there is a very clear argument for how the technology is effected on us and causing social isolation as we know, but in another way is also the argument that these technologies are helping us to become more social in our society. This is very probably because we have a good and perfect ability to communicate with each other. Despite long distances. We all know that the goal of technology is to make our lives easier and more efficient.
Moreover, I am looking forward to a different approaches to a geographical at the foreign country. I specially appreciate the wide module arranged by this university which will help me to create a brighter future. It is also a university that famous with high quality of teaching and research. I am attracted to University of Glasgow as it has been internationally recognized as top 100 universities in the world. Apart from that, it has a professional department in law, medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry.
From stair-climbing wheelchair to prosthetic mind-controlled limbs - the rate of innovative products developed for the less fortunate people in the society is increasing. My long-term goal is to inspire the next generation of researchers to develop computational methods and optimization techniques that would help in creating products to aid differently abled people. I believe that making small changes to the design conceptualization methods will have a great impact on the efficient design of products. I believe that choosing a career as a professor will be a cardinal step towards reaching my long-term goal. Being a professor is the best platform for developing knowledge on computational design by doing what I'm truly excited, namely, learning
There are always complications and doubts that block our path. What job am I to choose? What university do I apply for? These thoughts will soon turn into a bitter reality. A reality that we will have to face.
