Statement of Purpose
I graduated with B.E. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in August 2013 from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. I was born in a family of engineers, from my mother’s father who retired as Chief Engineer from Irrigation Department (M.P. India) to my father who is currently serving as Senior Foreman in Saudi Aramco and my uncle who is Executive Engineer in Irrigation Department (Uttarakhand India); I have always been surrounded by people serving as role models in the field of engineering services. This eventually became my source of inspiration to pursue under graduation in Mechanical Engineering. I had several opportunities to work in Oil and Gas sector over the duration of my under graduation. It has guided me to choose my next career path with specialization in Oil and Gas Engineering.
I have a fervent desire to conduct my post graduation at your esteemed university, benefiting from the fact that University of Aberdeen is located in the energy capital of Europe with extremely capable faculty, vast research opportunities and state of art labs for carrying out further project works. I hope that my academic accomplishments and test scores would give me a favourable chance for entrance into the MSc in Oil and Gas Engineering.
The other reason for my craving to attend University of Aberdeen is from the fact it will allow me to be a part of convergence of people from different race, religions and cultures. It will aid my further development of a broader outlook towards life and growing my personality even more.
