Next, I collaborated with two of my peers in order to peer edit each other's essays and then made these changes to my essay. Finally, I added in the additional quotes from my annotated bibliography sources. I have gotten better at this kind of work because I have learned how to expand my vocabulary and use formal language with less dead verbs. I have improved greatly upon this, but I have room to improve even more.
But to be able to work with others one must know what those deficiencies and inabilities are so that those one chooses to work with will actually help deal with one’s lack of ability. A common example would be working with a coach instead of trying to coach oneself. For all an example would be a swim coach when young. This is because as a human one is innately unable to swim and will lack the necessary knowledge and ability to teach oneself. That is why a coach is necessary.
However, citation of Wikipedia may be considered unreliable, because educators do not consider Wikipedia an authoritative source. This is because anyone can edit the information given at any time, and although most errors are quickly fixed, some errors go unnoticed. The human brain is wired in such a way that we are constantly making connections with out even realizing it. Perhaps thats why proofreading can bee such a dificult task for non nerds. Even proofreaders brains can switch too auto-pilot, and we can loose our normally meticulous focus. Spelling errors, typo 's, punctuation mistakes and an over reliance on technology have all resulted in some pretty serious proofreading disasters. I also learned that when quoting, the author’s name must always be added in parentheses before the period. I believe my body paragraphs have gotten stronger and more influential because I have conquered these skills. Writing can be a difficult yet rewarding talent. I personally believe I have grown as a writer. Skills that were weak have become strong, and my strong skills have become even stronger.
