The journalists have to face target killings and other propagandas. There are prohibited areas for journalists and they have to escape all the time form the conflicting parties in order to save their lives. Therefore in these areas the media information is limited as many restrictions have been put on the information. In the last few years, any journalists have been murdered and they have high political pressures on them which are implied on them in directly. The government also banned some popular channels which stood against the government. Pervaiz Musharaff made a regulatory authority PEMRA so that he can take over the control of the media all by himself. He passed certain rules and regulations and the ones who disobeyed government, their licenses were also suspended. Not only the local government, but different state agencies ware also after media.
