Abstract
Ayurveda is an eternal science which has evolved thousands of years of ago. It had all most all branches of present medical science. It has got its own uniqueness in field of medicine. Our acharyas explained whole medical science in few thousands of slokas. It has its own principles on the basis of which whole Ayurveda stands, like pancha mahabhuta siddanta, tridosha siddanta etc. we can’t correlate most of the things in Ayurveda in current medical language. But surely they yield results on that basis. That’s where Ayurveda maintains its uniqueness.

We can see lot of examples for uniqueness in each subject in Ayurveda, like in
Sharira kriya- prakruti is unique in nature by that we can assess so many factors
Shareera rachana – concept of marma is very unique
Padarta vignana- tantra yukti are unique in nature by that we can easily understand Ayurveda texts
In bhaishajya kalpana-guruta and laghuta on the basis of digestion in pancha vidha kashaya kalpana
Rasa Shastra- mineral drugs don’t lose their potency even if you kept for longer time, instead their potency will be higher as time elapses
Roga nidana – gives much importance to causative factors, modern medical science doesn’t give much importance to causative factors.
Swasta vritta- in swasta vritta we get so much reference regarding uniqueness of Ayurveda, in padabhyanga good for eyes, we can’t explain this on modern basis
Dravya guna- in drugs if give the whole drug it won’t produce ill effects, but extract of some chemical components by that drug may sometime yield ill
