In other words, new buildings must reduce usage of resources through the establishments of resourceful, energy efficient products and materials, essentially less pollution. The abundance of programs and initiatives provided by the government and other organisations infer much pollution, environmental issues and concerns are prevalent in Pyrmont. Pyrmont’s population is projected to reach 20,000 by 2020, which means that further development of the suburb is required to sustain this growing population. The development and construction of more and more apartments will inevitably increase the suburb’s and Sydney’s ecological footprint. In the story, “Esperanza Rising”, a saying means a lot to life. He who falls today may rise tomorrow. When Esperanza’s life goes wrong, she knew that she couldn’t give up. Even though she and her family were suffering from great depression. When Esperanza falls, she thought she couldn’t get back up.
Esperanza’s house on Mango Street is not the house she dreamed on when she lived on Loomis Street, not the kind of house her parent’s talked about, not the house she wanted. Her house on Mango Street is a small, red house with even smaller stairs leading to the door. The brick are falling out of place and to get inside, one must shove the door, swollen like Esperanza’s feet in later vignettes, open. Once inside, where you are never very far from someone else, there are small hallway stairs that lead to the only one shared bedroom and bathroom. This house is just, “For the time being,”[5] Esperanza claims, for this is nothing like the house she longs for.

The song is about a girl that gets pregnant at 15 and the baby’s father leaves. That was exactly what happened to Libby. At the end of the book Luke and his parents leave to get a better job.

Throughout the entity of House on Mango Street, Esperanza shares her knowledge through stories from experience. Albeit, it is important for people to have first-hand experience witnessing and learning from events, people should be verbally taught and lectured. Esperanza’s dismissed race leaves her in a heavily disconnected neighborhood. Such circumstances result in a lack of interest in education and work. Without much else of anything to do, families are left primarily to themselves.
Lifeline: Expression’s Role in Artistic expression has been used throughout history and folklore to soften the vice grip of oppression and squalor, from Paul and Silas’ hymnals in the prison to the spirituals of black slaves in the American South. In a time period where money sits atop the throne in the lives of lower-to-middle class citizens, the pursuit of wealth becomes a game driven by prejudice, racism, and, if one is lucky, desperation. Baldwin, Cisneros, and Hansberry highlight characters in dire need of wealth to escape the dire situations where they are trapped. Whether it be the lethal streets of Harlem, the broken-down projects of Mango Street, or the roach-infested apartments on the south side of Chicago, the protagonists are
Imagine living in a world where the air is polluted and most people are afraid to step outside their front door, in the near future, this may be reality for Americans. People in America are debating whether Americans are recycling enough and correctly. After analyzing the data, one will definitely agree that Americans need to be more educated on recycling due to the fact that most people do not know what happens after they recycle an item, nearly all Americans are recycling incorrectly, and Am To begin,
He relates Murcutt’s use of trusses and struts in the Magney House to be similar to that of bone structure, as too, the body navigates gravity when dealing with the landscape. The house’s structural system allows the steel frame to bend into a natural form that responds to the immediate Australian landscape. Mitchell Schwarzer claims that these “forms communicate themes within tectonics of the natural and cultural order” and that the Magney House, through its free form roof (Figure 2.) reflects a climatic consideration of the suns movement. This suggests regionalism is a consequence of Australian architecture, an architecture that is regionally based and achieving a relevant form of contemporary practice. The Magney House is articulated with natural elements, and like the Marika-Alderton House, has no a need for mechanical ventilation systems and what Jennifer Taylor describes as a “finely tuned relationship of man and nature”.
