Memmi definition of racism is said to be explained by four elements. Differences, real or imagined, generate out of biological distinctions between people groups. Those differences are then assigned a negative value in relation to the racist and his or her victim. The difference is generalized with the idea that if it is true for one it must be true for all and that results in redefining a people group as biologically inferior or evil.
