In Lincoln, Nebraska, there are two completely different facilities that the Nebraska Cornhuskers play in. There is Memorial Stadium, which has a lot of history and success, and there is the two-year-old Pinnacle Bank Arena, where they are building a program. Both Husker facilities have a great game atmosphere and they are both located near downtown Lincoln. So what do you prefer? A facility that has a tradition of excellence, or a facility that is brand new, capable of hosting concerts and indoor events, and has successful seasons that are bound to come? So the real question is, what facility do you like better, Pinnacle Bank Arena, or Memorial Stadium?
Memorial Stadium first opened in 1920 and since then Nebraska Football has had numerous successful seasons. He made Nebraska football what it is today. He is one of the reasons people go to Nebraska games today because that stadium has a lot of history. The Nebraska men’s basketball team’s coach is Tim Miles. When Nebraska first got him, he was known to turn around programs within three years. He has done a lot of great things and has changed the program a lot since his first year at Nebraska. Since Tim Miles is a newer coach at the University and has only done a little for Nebraska Basketball, he is not near as popular as Tom Osborne. I believe that Tim Miles will help bring a basketball legacy to the University by improving the basketball teams

On Saturday October 10 the then ranked 12th Florida State Seminoles played the Miami (Fl) Hurricanes at the Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium. A college football rivalry that thousands of fans looks forward to seeing every year. Kick off was at 8:00 PM but fans were encouraged to get to the stadium early because this was a sold out event. Around the Doak Campbell Stadium additional parking was available for fans starting at $30 dollars. I even seen a sign that said parking $70 dollars although it was located conveniently right across the street from the stadium.
The Gators chose a man who turned the Rams into a 10-2 team, while the Cornhuskers settled for a name with mediocre results. For a program like Nebraska, firing Pelini in the first place does make some sense. The Cornhuskers are historically one of the best programs around, but didn’t find themselves competing for national titles during Pelini’s seven-year
They won Super Bowl XXXll, Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl 50” (Wikipedia). The Denver Broncos have a track records of winning games and with this new stadium, that the taxpayers would be paying for, they would definitely would be benefiting for the fans. “Economically, experts say, the stadium would provide few benefits for the six-county metro area. Football fans contribute little to the local economy. They park, walk directly to the stadium where they spend their money, and leave.

Humans have discovered many different ways to take a forest and turn it into a shopping center, mall, parking lot, or even a sports stadium. In this paper we are going to look at the old New York Giants stadium that was in East Rutherford New Jersey (Yes you read that right the New York Giants do indeed play in New Jersey). The New York Giants decided they needed a new stadium so they first needed to tear down the 34 year old stadium. When they demolished the stadium there was a lot of toxins from the concrete and other materials in the air. In fact it was advised not to go near the site without a breathing mask until the demolition was complete.
He was one of the most highly scouted players in this area, just about every school nearby wanted Godwin to bring his talent to their program, unfortunately for all the other institutions ODU was the winner.
Turner field was built in 1996 to host the 1996 summer Olympics, and the stadium shows off its Olympic history with landmarks that are recognizable from the Olympics. Fans from all over Georgia and many other states travel to Atlanta to come see the Braves play in their beautiful stadium. Turner Field created an electric atmosphere that allowed the athletes to perform at their best ability, but as the years have passed the crowds have died down. One article noted that in 2001 “THERE WERE 10,000 empty seats at Turner Field as the Braves finished off the Astros in the divisional round”(Lake). Each year there are less and less fans at the games to cheer on the Braves.
Gary "The Great" Living the life of Gary Trent Jr. isn't an easy life to live. Growing up in Apple Valley, a town home to the Minnesota Timberwolves finest, Tyus Jones. Gary tries to make a name for himself, and succeeds by being ranked number five in the US for boy's basketball players. Going from the court, to college visits, and big decision making, it may seem nice watching all the success from the outside, but there's so much more to it. The reason why I wanted to interview Gary is because of all the exposure and attention Gary has gotten in his basketball career.
If we were to look back, the leader or coach we respect most is the one who pushed us to be that greatest that we could be. Although we did not like being pushed at the time, being told we could give more is often what teams need in order to succeed. Herb Brooks pushed his players to believe that they had greatness within them. His players, including many other people did not believe at first. But his players later came to believe because their coach believed.
He has coach football before and he uses that knowledge to help the team become
Along with these renovations, the construction of a “Titletown district” surrounding Lambeau, will add shops, restaurants, team stores, and a tailgating spot for fans and tourists. The district is supposed to boost gameday profits and provide a fun atmosphere for fans. This will significantly add to the ultimate gameday experience. However, this is still only one of the numerous renovations that Lambeau is undergoing to improve the fan's experience and the quality of the stadium

In his essay “Gil’s Sportsplex”, Gil Fried states that Gil Giles is always obsessed with softball and thus, he tends to invest a sportsplex after he retired (1). Fried introduces Gil’s backgrounds that he is a former police officer without any experiences in running a sports facility (2). Elsewhere, Fried demonstrates various industry analyses about sportaplex, for example, the definition of sportsplex is a facility offering multiple indoor and outdoor sports (2), and the “Sportsplex Operators and Developers Association (SODA)” propose some guidelines for implementing a sportsplex, such as “developing a needs assessment, feasibility study and preliminary design”(2). In addition, Fried cites CT sportsplex information, which includes the location, population, the charging fees, sponsorship packages, and the competing component research, as a frame example for Gil’s sportsplex (3-4).
