Michelangelo Buonarroti was a Renaissance man who was born in 1457 in Italy and was an artist. He sculpted, painted, wrote poetry, and designed architecture. Michelangelo focused on religious art such as the Pieta, David, and the Sistine chapel artwork. Michelangelo’s work changed how people look at art and opened minds to religious works. Michelangelo is remembered as the “father and master of all the arts”. He gained all his fame during his lifetime, and his artistic mystery lives on still.
