Some of them have certain specialization, such as, for example, UNODC, OSCE and Interpol are mainly focused on criminal side of smuggling. Cooperation is a common practice for the organizations in the field of migrant smuggling. Some of them even goes so far that they formalize their cooperation by the agreements and memoranda of understanding. A good example of the cooperation between the organizations is IOM-UNODC Agreement for Closer Cooperation to Combat Human Trafficking, Migrant Smuggling and to Improve Border Management, which was signed in 2012. The EU Action Plan sets out concrete actions to counter and prevent migrant smuggling and is based on a multidisciplinary approach, involving actors and institutions at local, regional, national and international level. It also draws from a range of measures across different policy areas such as migration management, border control, law enforcement and police cooperation and internal security. Throughout the documentary “Well Founded Fear” by Shari Robertson and Michael Camerini asylum seekers told their story about the reason they should be one out of every two hundred to be granted asylum in the United States. The search for asylum is one that is sometimes disheartening, uncertain, and unpredictable. As humans come to the United States in search of asylum, asylum officers are tasked with deciding the fate of asylum seekers. There are problems with the process of being granted asylum so it is necessary that some solutions are developed.

The article, “Immigrant Crimes: Cultural Defense--a Legal Tactic” by Myrna Oliver is published in the Los Angeles Times. The author’s purpose was to evaluate the use of cultural defense on actions that we, as American believed that it’s morally wrong. Oliver uses different examples and testimonies to display the effective use of culture defense to justified behaviors that violates American laws. The article argues that cultural defense is popular among immigrants to get lighter punishments since they have different values and beliefs in their hometown.
However, these measures do not work in full for the following reasons: 1. There has been a week cooperation between the EU Member States and the special EU institutions (Europol and Eurojust) in this sphere, in particular on the exchange of information and in coordinating the work on joint investigations and operations. 2. There is a general reluctance on the part of States to provide financial assistance and to give up part of their political sovereignty to European counter-terrorism agencies. The consequence of financial constraints is the impossibility of effective formation and maintenance of the functioning of counterterrorism structures and mechanisms at the interstate level.
U.S.-Mexico Border: Using Military Forces With the advent of the 20th century and technological advances, criminals have found newer and more complicated ways to commit crimes. Compounding the problem is the advent of the digital age, which introduces the internet and cyberspace. These two technologies alone provide boundless avenues for committing illegal activities within the criminal element of the population. From time, immemorial, criminals have been a part of the fabric of every society and come from every walk of life.
Under the traditional law, asylum was recognised as the right of the state to be conferred, in its discretion, and individual could only request for it and if granted enjoy it. Unfortunately, all the efforts to ensure right of asylum to every person fearing persecution have been forestalled by states. In the last few years U.S.A, Australia, Germany, France and other European countries to name a few, are increasingly putting into practice restrictive asylum policies in order to deter and to prevent asylum-seekers from seeking refuge in their territory.

Two of the international agreements that Australia has signed to and has recognised are the following: The 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees and its subsequent Protocol & the 1967 Protocol relating to the Status of Refugees.
Alongside the route, there were various things or experiences that the migrants experienced. Basically, there were numerous accidents that they encountered for instance death as a result of being run over by wagons. Another one was accidents due to gunshots from half-cocked pistols in their wagons or from various individuals who at times used to fool around with guns. Conversely, the migrants contracted various ailments majorly yellow fever Oregon fever. At least two-thirds of the migrants lost their lives due to this quick killing disease.
Immigrants are making a life in the United States and working in jobs without background checks. Everyday immigrants are in danger that the immigration Agency to find Immigrants working in their jobs or in their homes. The Immigration Agency does not like the fact Immigrants crossed the border without any papers to come to the U.S. Immigrants in the United States are afraid of the Immigration Agency because of the rough tactics the Immigration Agency does to sometimes arresting Immigrants. When sometimes the Immigration Agency thinks all immigrants are all criminals which gives the immigration agency an excuse to arrest innocent immigrants. , but not all are bad.
In order for UNHCR to carry through with its statelessness mandate, it has been assigned with the mission of protecting and assisting stateless populations, providing advanced legal and humanitarian aid especially in cases where the States concerned fail to do so. Through a series of Conclusions, the UNGA reiterates the UNHCR’s mandate to identify, prevent and reduce statelessness around the world and calls on the agency to work closely with Governments in order to provide technical support and to encourage States to accede to the Statelessness Conventions. UNHCR is also sharing important data, shedding light on statelessness as a whole. Positively, the agency is doing significant work on gathering statistics and reporting on the numbers
Relocating to a new country and starting a new life is always a daunting process for most of the immigrants. My focus for the WP3 is on the challenges the immigrants have to deal with when they arrived in the U.S I work with one of the interpreting companies that employ a diverse group of immigrants, so my plan is to interview some of my work colleagues. I want to know their personal stories of coming to the U.S. How tough was their immigration process? Did they experience any culture shock when they first arrived to the U.S and was it hard to adapt? Most of the immigrants have to pass the extreme vetting before they come to the U.S.
Not much has changed in immigration between Mexico and the United States. Though the manner in which the topic is openly discussed is rather different, the underlying racial discrimination is still constant. While illegal immigration to the U.S. happens from all countries, the media and local law enforcement seem to solely focus on demonizing the latino community. Though the issues are slightly different, the reasoning behind the accusation are the same, skin color.
In addition to legislation on human trafficking, criminal justice systems must turn their attention to educating law enforcement officers about the nature and extent of trafficking, while also equipping them with the tools essential to handling these cases. Adequate training is necessary for law enforcement to understand the intricacies of trafficking cases and how to investigate them properly. Farrell, Owens, and McDevitt (2014) stress the need for such specialized training in order for law enforcement officers to embrace new legislation on trafficking, and to understand how to respond to these sensitive cases. Other criminal justice professionals, such as prosecutors, judges, and court personnel, can also benefit from specialized human trafficking
