Besides, the rhetorical analysis and the argument easy helped me a lot. I have learnt what logos, ethos and pathos are and how to rebut others opinions. Overall, all the essays I wrote during this semester improved my English skills very much. My favorite essay is the summary and response for I enjoyed the process of writing this essay. Besides, I am most satisfied with my summary and response.
When discussing how Jerri manages her school and daily life, she said, "I really enjoy learning and see it as an opportunity and a privilege. Sounds corny, but it 's true. I find that I am able to perform well in online courses because I am self-driven and I am dedicated to learning something along the way, not just finishing." She is an inspiration and many students can benefit by adopting her approach.
On all my assignments I have used these tools and I have also visited the writing center on one of my assignments, which was very helpful. Another tool that I thought was helpful to me during my assignments was the synthesis matrix. The synthesis matrix is my favorite tool and I will continue to use this throughout the rest of my courses. It made comparing, contrasting, and combining different sources at one time very easy. It gave me a head start on the literature review and it made it come together more easily.
The reading strategies we discussed in class and in the courses content made me a better reader by showing me many different ways to read and write and understand it very well. It uses all these methods such as the KWL charts, writing a memo and reading the novel I selected helping me improve my skills greatly to become a better reader. Putting together the reading, writing oral communication and examining media all connected in helping me become a good reader and helped me to comprehend the understanding of making a personal connection to the world around you. That 's what help 's you in the future to make the the best choices possible so that later on when you make a mistake in reading you can look at the experience you had and learn how to properly correct yourself because at the end of the day they all deal with different skill set 's but all help you to become better in everything you
Since the author has been working with the organization and has written the literature review, it was easier to foresee the challenges the organization might encounter, thus making it easier to write about. Another recommendation for future students would be to choose and organization that one is passionate about, or an organization that the individual is knowledgeable about since one is going to be spending a lot of time researching that very organization. With that said, having a mentor within the organization one chooses to write about can be very beneficial. With all of this in mind stay focused and do not give up on your goal even if at times it seems difficult and unachievable. If the class seems too difficult, lean on your cohort mates and your professor for help and advice, you will find out that you are not alone in this
The comments from my instructor, the online material, my research, the online writing center and comments from other students in the discussion boards have helped me so much to improve my writing skills. In the writing process, the step that I feel I have improved a lot is editing, as I am constantly reading my writings and editing them as I finish them, over and over again before I publish them. The steps in the writing process that I like the most are finding a topic in the Pre-writing step and Drafting. I like having a lot of ideas floating around and think about which idea is the best and the most exciting topic to talk about. Drafting for me is pretty similar, as also my ideas are coming into my mind at no speed limit and I try to focus in one at the time, at that moment, I am not thinking about
Overall I believe English 2 is a really effective class. I learned the correct and efficient way to search information from the school library database, present arguments with complex issues and support with effective evidence, and the use of both deductive and inductive patterns for argument in the assignments. I believe if the academic semester is longer, I could learn more than just these
There are so many elements in this story that translate directly into a classroom setting. The themes are universal and any student can relate to them whether boy or girl. This novel is fast paced. The chapters are relatively short and allow for easy reading. This would be a great story to use as a coordinating teaching activity with the American history class.
The ability to supply the knowledge of the student loan crisis, as Zanein Prater did is enriching in itself. The research was visible throughout, and the drive for fixing the crises was indisputable. Although, only the draft was posted (that I could see), it was well written and provided few errors. Useful information was provided, and myself as well as other classmates may benefit from reading his essay. Especially, if concerned with debt or student loans.
