In Mary Shelly's novel Frankenstein, her view of human nature is dependent Upon the society in which we as a whole view the world as normal, therefore the monster is portrayed as someone who cares about being loved, but didn’t get what he wanted so he turns into someone seeking for revenge. Victor Frankenstein was a young boy, he grew up in his home town Geneva with his loving family, he liked to read books that were in the library, he read about the ancient and outdated alchemists, a background that serves him well when he attended the university that he wanted. There he learns about modern science and, within a couple of months, Victor becomes very involved with his work, he even impressed his teachers and fellow classmates he mastered

Victor, one of Mary Shelly’s characters represents man’s pursuit of knowledge which ultimately leads towards the path of destruction while another character Robert Walton implemented his knowledge wisely to get benefits for the society. Mary is indicating to the society that mankind has to pay full attention to science and scientific innovations in order to avoid the catastrophic events due to misuse of knowledge.

In the novel Frankenstein, written by Mary Shelley, there are instances in which poor parenting causes for dilemmas to arise deeper into the novel. As a parent, it is expected to meet the responsibility of properly raising the child, and preparing it to accustom to society. The values and guidelines one’s guardians set early on influence the parental styles of that individual in the future. This notion is portrayed often in the novel through Victor Frankenstein's boyhood, and later on his treatment of his creation, identified as the “monster,” for the duration of its youth.
Dichotomy is a very important characteristic in literature. Dichotomy is able to emphasize the contrast and add many deep layers to a story. In Emily Brontë’s Gothic Novel Wuthering Heights, Heathcliff’s embodies many contrasting philosophical components. Heathcliff personifies the role of a savage and a cultured gentleman. Heathcliff is also able to play the role of the victim and victimizer.
Similar to any other conflict or struggle we undergo or face in life, suffering is an experience, and experiences always offer us something in return – whether good or bad. H. Richard Neibur states that suffering leads people to define themselves, take on character, and develop ethos. However, in this case, taking on ‘character’ is subjective, meaning that its effect can be defined by positive and negative circumstances. The outcome of suffering depends on a person’s capability of handling emotions and overcoming tough conditions. If the person’s strong enough and durable enough to take on a harsh unexpected events, then there is a chance that this person may see the light and overcome the missions with great attributes to share.

Francis Bacon, a widely known and renowned scientist, philosopher, and lawyer, commented on a widely observed phenomenon. People who try too hard to find answers often end up worse off for it. Scientists become poisoned by the chemical they spent their entire life studying. Reporters become too involved in the things they once just observed.
The google definition of a monster is as follows; an imaginary creature that is typically large, ugly, and frightening, an inhumanly cruel or wicked person. How do I define monster? I define a monster as someone who has no feeling, someone (or something), who doesn't care about anything except survival. Someone who couldn’t give less of a shit (excuse my language) about anyone or anything other than themselves. The issue I will work on addressing in this essay is Dr. Frankenstein's monster.
I think that just because we can, we should not risk anything because the consequences are too dangerous and outcome is unpredictable. This applies to anything that requires superior knowledge like creating a creature in Frankenstein. The creature was capable of killing many people and was not controlled by anyone. Victor payed the price by having his family members killed by the creature. This shows how just because Victor could create a creature, he shouldn’t have because there are bad consequences.
