TMU’s mission statement is “to provide career-oriented continuing education and life-long learning opportunities that are accessible, responsive, and comprehensive.” They are looking for students with excellence who are academically committed. This university admires diversity, they have a higher acceptance of international students. Mutual Respect & Shared Success is also valued in TMU with how peers interact with each other and the ability to work with each other. TMU focuses on social, environmental, and economical sustainability for the school to live on for generations. Compared to some other universities in Canada, TMU may have fewer resources for research and a less established research image.
TMU has a competitive environment with other universities in Canada more specifically Toronto, for students, faculty, and research funding.
The university has trouble expanding its facilities and space because of its location.
Opportunities:
By providing more adaptable and creative educational programs, TMU can take advantage of the rising demand for online and hybrid learning.
