College football is getting to be as popular as professional football. In some areas of the country, college football is a lot more popular than NFL football. In Nebraska for example, Memorial stadium in Lincoln becomes the state 's third largest city on home football game days. The stadium becomes a sea of red as fans dress in the team colors in support of the Cornhuskers.

Fremont High School is located in Los Angeles, California, “sprawled across a city block.” The school enrolls about 5,000 students every year but only 3,300 are in attendance every day. The students read at an elementary school level and are not provided the necessities to succeed. The school is lacking many resources, such as, classrooms, restrooms, and lunchrooms. The school lacks at least 15 restrooms that the law requires. The average class size is about 33 to 40 students per room in 220 classes. The teachers are worked to exhaustion and the students are treated like animals. Fremont High is lacking the basic needs for everyone there and all of the students know it. School is meant to be a place for students to feel comfortable and educated, not what Fremont High School is.
The question all soldiers at Valley Forge asked themselves was will I re-enlist? I decided I was going to re-enlist why would I not re-enlist and not let all people whom I’m fighting lose their freedom from a stupid decision I made. Valley Forge sadly was the ugly duck compared to where the Red Coats were staying. Valley Forge was in Pennsylvania the camp was in made in mid-December in 1777. I needed to stay to not only protect the people whom I’m fighting for, but for my family. I needed to know they were going to be ok and nothing would happen to them. So would have I not re-enlist or quit no and I sure have an explanation. I decided to re-enlist and not be a summer soldier. Valley Forge might be the ugly duckling, but that doesn 't let all the joyful men there stop being joyful even when they need more men like me. Also they have surgeons to help us with our injuries and let me tell you, Dr. Waldo is a very good surgeon so why wouldn’t you want to stay.
Is it really that bad to have a Native American name for a sports teams? Do you think that it is racist? Having a team with a Native American name is not a bad thing. If you have a teams named after specific Nationality group, like the Indians, then that would be splendid because the Indians were feared people, it’s an honor for the Indians, and it would help the Americans remember the Native Americans.
When one thinks of the civil rights movement, the first thoughts are often of events that took place south of the Mason-Dixon line. Images of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., marches, boycotts, and desegregation instantly pop into one 's head. Though the north was a much more welcoming environment for African Americans, it still had its fair share of inequality to balance . One place this struggle played out was Proviso East High School, located in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois called Maywood.
Valley forge was a winter camp for for soldiers to train. But the conditions at the camp were horrible with bad housing, food, weather, and clothing. Many quit due to those harsh conditions. If I were at Valley Forge I would have definitely quit. 50% of the soldier got diseases and 1,800 to 2,500 died. (Doc A) I honestly would wouldn’t want to be around dirty sick people all day. I also wouldn’t want to die because of all those poor conditions your put through. Many of the patriots clothing was ripped, torn, dirty, and they had no shoes. (Doc B) The time of year and place they were doing has very harsh winters so wouldn’t want to freezing outside all the time. I especially hate it when it's below at least 30 degrees out so I would of been
Valley Forge is a winter camp about 18 miles from Philadelphia. Many colonists are sick and dying since they have little food, and supplies left. On February 1st, 1778, death and illness took over our troops. (Doc A) About 50% of our soldiers are currently sick, and in horrible condition. And since we are close to the end of this winter, around 2,500 people have died. (Doc A) We also don’t have much supplies left. We are low on food, weapons, and having no food leads to death and horrible sickness. The vomit surrounds our camp, and the smoke pollutes our air. (Doc C) I want to live just like anyone here at this camp. The other day I was looking at a painting by William Henry Powell, and noticed that the British were not having a tough time
Instead of withdrawing from the public stage, Angelina and Sarah went on to achieve more notoriety, in 1838, Angelina testified at a Committee of the Legislature of the State of Massachusetts, becoming the first American woman to testify in a legislative meeting. Later in 1838, at the age of 33, Angelina married abolitionist Theodore Dwight Weld, and they moved with Sarah to Fort Lee, New Jersey. Although both Angelina and Sarah wanted to continue giving speeches and attending meetings, the pressures of running a household, raising three children, poverty and health issues (Angelina had suffered a terrible breakdown after her third child), caused them retreat from public issues. They still continue to write and support the antislavery and women’s

In the United States a community college is defined as a nonresidential junior college offering courses to people living in a particular area. They are post secondary schools and are also referred to as junior colleges, vocational or technical schools because generally the course of study is for two years. The student can earn an associates degree or certification and/or continue their education by transfering to a four year college to complete their educational pursuits and earn a Bachelor 's degree. Community colleges started in the late 1800’s and have grown and evolved over the years. Today many four year colleges and universities have become so expensive to attend that many prospective students are opting for the more affordable alternative of a community college for their first two years of study where they can save money by living at home and taking classes that will transfer to a four year institution, however, there are students that cannot afford the lower cost of community colleges. Though community college tuition is not paid for through taxes or by some other means, if it was it would allow for all students wanting to
Rivalries are one of the concepts that make sports so special. Every team knows when and where they play their rivals and want to absolutely annihilate them. In college football, rivalry games, especially between teams in Power 5 conferences (Big 10, Big 12, ACC, Pac-12, and SEC), are very well covered by the media. Some may argue that some of the greatest rivalries in sports are between college football teams, such as Army vs. Navy or Lehigh vs. Lafayette, which is college football’s most played rivalry. Rivalries can spark from any number of events, whether it be based on their proximity to each other or a historic event that has caused tension between them. Some rivalries last a long time, and some are really
