Instead of withdrawing from the public stage, Angelina and Sarah went on to achieve more notoriety, in 1838, Angelina testified at a Committee of the Legislature of the State of Massachusetts, becoming the first American woman to testify in a legislative meeting. Later in 1838, at the age of 33, Angelina married abolitionist Theodore Dwight Weld, and they moved with Sarah to Fort Lee, New Jersey. Although both Angelina and Sarah wanted to continue giving speeches and attending meetings, the pressures of running a household, raising three children, poverty and health issues (Angelina had suffered a terrible breakdown after her third child), caused them retreat from public issues. They still continue to write and support the antislavery and women’s
Valley forge was a winter camp for for soldiers to train. But the conditions at the camp were horrible with bad housing, food, weather, and clothing. Many quit due to those harsh conditions. If I were at Valley Forge I would have definitely quit. 50% of the soldier got diseases and 1,800 to 2,500 died.
Valley Forge: Should I re-enlist? The question all soldiers at Valley Forge asked themselves was will I re-enlist? I decided I was going to re-enlist why would I not re-enlist and not let all people whom I’m fighting lose their freedom from a stupid decision I made. Valley Forge sadly was the ugly duck compared to where the Red Coats were staying.
When one thinks of the civil rights movement, the first thoughts are often of events that took place south of the Mason-Dixon line. Images of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., marches, boycotts, and desegregation instantly pop into one 's head. Though the north was a much more welcoming environment for African Americans, it still had its fair share of inequality to balance . One place this struggle played out was Proviso East High School, located in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois called Maywood. My family is from Chicago.
The sports programs are a vital fundamental in universities as they bring attention and fame to them. Every university is best in a different sport and some even play a sport that others don 't have an interest in like Polo. There is another thing that is important to the sports program which is the mascot. The mascot is the face of the school like how the Texas Tech is the "masked raider"(Texas Tech, Masked Raider) or like how Sam Houston is the "bearcat"(Sam Houston, Mascot). Texas Tech is most famously known for their "Olympic sport in Soccer, Volleyball, Softball, and Track & Field" (Texas Tech, Olympic sports).

Well, a Native American tribes chairman named James Billie said, “We seminoles embrace the mascot, They honor us”(“Insult”). This means that this Indian group likes the mascot. Also, having a team named after Native Americans is supposed to be a positive thing, and it should also be a privilege. Why I say that is because not everyone can have a team named after them. They should be happy that they have a well know, or pro sports team name after them.
Notre Dame has been playing collegiate football since the late 1800’s and is known for having some of the most loyal fans in sports. Currently, they are not part of a conference when it comes to their football team. As a result of this, they have their own TV contract, a long term deal with NBC that is made possible due to the unwavering support of their very loyal fan base. Notre Dame has won 13 National Championships in football, which is the second most ever won by one school, trailing only Alabama by only 1, according to Winsipedia. According to the NCAA record books, Notre Dame has the all-time highest winning percentage out of all teams in the FBS with a 73.2%.
In the United States a community college is defined as a nonresidential junior college offering courses to people living in a particular area. They are post secondary schools and are also referred to as junior colleges, vocational or technical schools because generally the course of study is for two years. The student can earn an associates degree or certification and/or continue their education by transfering to a four year college to complete their educational pursuits and earn a Bachelor 's degree. Community colleges started in the late 1800’s and have grown and evolved over the years. Today many four year colleges and universities have become so expensive to attend that many prospective students are opting for the more affordable alternative of a community college for their first two years of study where they can save money by living at home and taking classes that will transfer to a four year institution, however, there are students that cannot afford the lower cost of community colleges.
Radio The average American listens to two hours of the radio each day. Radio stations are able to provide information to local audiences within their broadcast area; this allows spot radio to reach a specific target audience. Since Helms College is a smaller carreer college with locations in two different areas, the Central Savannah River Area and Middle Georgia, spot radio would be an exceptional local medium to advertise Helms College. Considering Helms College’s goal is to increase enrollment rates, radio would help to increase awareness by targeting people in the surrounding Macon and Augusta areas.
