Any school essay will not be easy but you have to put your best and state the facts in the essay. The first thing that is most important is deciding on your topic, think about if it should be a general overview of the topic or a specific topic. The next step is to prepare an outline stating your main facts and overall points. If you are trying to persuade, you want to write good arguments. If you are trying to explain a process, you want to write the steps that should be followed. If you are trying to inform, you want to write the sections that your topic is divided into. Summary Information, a couple sentences explaining your topic can lead the reader slowly to your thesis. Each sentences should become more specific, until you get to your thesis. Finish the paragraph with your thesis statement. Conclusion, the conclusion needs three or four strong sentences. Simply review the main points or briefly describe your feelings about the topic.
Already discussing the parts to an essay or writing there are some general procedures for example if writing an essay in MLA format . The proper way to format an essay is font size should be in 12-point Times New Roman. Double space, your entire essay should be double spaced, with no single spacing anywhere. There should not be extra spaces between paragraphs. The heading is located in the upper left corner have the first page have your essay. Your name, the teachers name , your class and the date should be included just like said. The date should be day, month and year. Margins, according to the MLA your essay should have a one-inch margin on top, bottom, left and right. Page numbers, your last name and page number should appear in the upper right corner

From the beginning, the essay lacked proper MLA formatting, a creative title, double spaces, and the opening was a poor choice for a hook as it failed to be relevant to the entirety of the essay as it was misleading. The sentences were poor in grammar, spelling, punctuation, structure, and relevance as there were plenty of unnecessary wording that did not lead to any solid arguments for the reader to follow up on such as bringing up the internet and space travel. Essays need to be professional, but the student that wrote this used “I” in their paragraphs which made it informal and failed to correct the run on sentences, and overuse of commas. I like how I put together my essay, but there certainly are things I don't really like. For organization and purpose, I believe I set it up neatly and echoed out the purpose. I made four paragraphs: An introduction, one paragraph for "I had been hungry all these years", one paragraph for "The Lighted Window", and finally a conclusion paragraph. When writing the essay, I tried to be on topic and get the point across. For evidence and elaboration, I definitely could have done better.
There are few steps to take into consideration while writing a paper in college, using the MLA format. Essays are always written in a blank A4 size paper which is 8.5 inches in width and 11 inches in length. By meaning blank paper, it is understood by college level students that it is unruled or unlined paper. Spacing between lines is expected to be double spaced, remember this is MLA format, which means there is a certain way to write this paper with the guidelines that have been proved to the students. Students are expected to follow these guidelines and not go their way by sing quadruple spacing or what they feel like.
In writing a essay I will figure out my point of the essay. A good thesis statement tells readers an essay’s topic and presents the writer’s attitude, opinion, idea, or point about the topic (Bethel,2015). I will state no less than three reasons why I feel the way I do about the subject and be particular about it, now that i know particular words make a photo to the peruser. I will use a story or statistics to develop a better view to the reader. I’m going to try and use a consistent point of view, If I’m writing in first person, then I will try not to jump to second person or third person.
