The event of this day triggered numerous emotions in all Americans and likely affected every person in the world in some kind of way. The way United States citizens lived and their very own freedom came under attack in a series of deadly terrorist acts. A third aircraft flew into the Pentagon while a fourth crashed in a rural area in Pennsylvania. Nearly three years later, in an attempt to figure out what happened on that tragic day, scholars came together to discuss the possible parallels between foreign and domestic terrorist. The author, Michael Kimmel, outlines the possible cause of the 2001 attacks and offers us a link between both foreign and domestic terrorism.

Beyond the immediate human toll, the attacks triggered far-reaching changes in society and government. They prompted violent military responses and led to the establishment of Homeland Security in the US, accompanied by counter-terrorism campaigns and the enactment of the USA Patriot Act under President George Bush. Moreover, the attacks harmed Islamic views, increasing stereotypes and biases.

The 911 Conspiracy On the morning of September 9th, 2000, a shocking event, which would be remembered by the world, even 15 years later, occurred. 4 passenger airlines ----specifically, American Airlines Flight 11, United Airlines Flight 175, American Airlines Flight 77 and United Airlines Flight 93---- were hijacked by Al-Qaeda terrorists, and were respectively flown into the North and South towers of the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon in a suicide attack. This is the event which struck the Firefighting and Law Enforcement agencies, with the former receiving 343 casualties, and the latter receiving 72.
There have also been multiple bomb explosions in the U.S.A. and around the world. One of them was in the annual Boston Marathon that was held on April 15, 2013. The individuals Dzhokhar Tsarnaev of 19 years old of age and his brother 26 year old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev that made the bombs and placed them next to the finish line with went off a few seconds after each other and wounded more 260 people, "Boston Marathon Bombings". Other bombings that have happened and are happening are in Paris, France and in San Bernardino. The 9/11 tragedy was a moment where people had their guard up at all times. This was a time where life had strike to reality of time warfare with every person and country. Couldn’t trust no one that came to the U.S. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, were brave because the generations before us had to face what had happened and to what is going to happen. This had left the buildings torn instantly killing hundreds of many people, getting them stuck in the higher floors. This attack was the worst in America ever since the Pearl Harbor All over our nation saw a major impact of devastation in the face of the September 9, 2001attacks.
After a terrorist attack of any kind there are always consequences that must be faced. Sometimes the point of the terrorist attacks is because the organization wished to send a message or to influence policy in their favor. However, after the 9/11 attacks administrators realized that the United States was not prepared for a tragedy of this kind and had little to no measures to prevent one, this lead them to create new programs and policies. Terrorist organization’s goal often comes down to one of the following: regime change, territorial change, policy change, social control and status quo maintenance. The main purpose of a terror attack may well be to influence public policy.
